I agree, and it makes it more fun for children who may not be very familiar with Harry Potter. The magical creatures could spark more creative imaginary adventures than if they did 24 human characters

I love the centaur because we don't get that so often. But I feel like some of these figures are better suited to a Halloween item than a Christmas item.

I would prefer a calendar with a bunch of beasts and monsters over a calendar with all the basic characters we always get. At least you're getting things you probably don't have or never seen before. Such a good calendar, lots of other's could learn from it.

So, based on what I've seen in Toy Stores over here, Schleich mostly makes animal figurines (not so much people) which I suspect is why they've included the pets and even the other beasts like the troll and the three-headed dog cause they're closer to the animals they normally make than the human figures are

I think this is far better than most official Harry Potter Wizarding World advents. The details on the figures is actually quite good and it’s nice that there’s figures that you wouldn’t normally see in advents, plus a different figure each day u like Harry Potter Funko Pop calendars.

German girl here: schleich has aswell a whole set of those figures in bigger and more detailed. Of course its more expensive. But thinking about that this advent callender only cost 55€instead of couple 100€ bills is incredible cheap❤ great cristmas gift from schleich and the wizarding world

The 1:1 scale means that the size of the characters on the box are the same size as the figurines inside, and not necessarily completely accurate to how the sizes would be in real life. I think the figures are lovely! And it made me so happy that they actually gave Harry black hair!

Was gonna say this. Aragog was described as being the size of an elephant, and a full grown mountain troll was said to be roughly 16ft tall, so that definitely was not a 1:1 scale to each other lol

I actually love that they included monsters and creepy characters in there 😊 I don’t really mind that the faces aren’t 100% accurate. A solid calendar! I think I got a Pegasus figurine from this brand as a child and I remember it wasn’t cheap, so I think this is a great bargain!

Welcome to the world of Schleich! They are an awesome brand. You should check out their full size Harry Potter figures! They have a ton of different types of toys, animals, characters, etc. They have been a staple for my children’s toys for years! We’re huge Schleich fans. I’m not surprised by the quality of this advent calendar at all, I would expect nothing less from them!

Wow I’m actually blown away by the quality of this calendar, not only by the insane attention to detail on these tiny figures but I LOVE TO SEE the items in a thoughtful order in the calendar itself! Seems so often they just throw them in there at random. I don’t mind any of the faces although I do wish we got a Free Dobby. Absolutely love seeing all the other animals, not just the typical ones we see like Crooks and Hedwig. I would have loved this as a kid!!

Schleich was literally my childhood! 🥰 They are known for their realistic animal figures, especially their horses I’d say. The humans were never that great, but it was clear that it wasn’t their focus and the fairies were surprisingly well done back then. If I’m not mistaken they were all hand-painted then, not sure if they still are but I would guess so ☺️ When I saw the new Harry Potter figures in store for the first time I knew I would have loved them as a child. Especially Buckbeak and the Thestral (it would have looked so cute with my unicorn and pegasus 🥺) Lots of love from Germany! ✨

A nice Advent calendar, would have loved this as a child. I love the diverse creatures in this box, Nagini, Aragog, Fluffy etc. it makes a nice change from the usual fare.

I honestly think this is one of the best HP calendars out there. Very displayable. Very playable. (I believe they have more HP characters made, just not in the calendar so you could keep collecting them). There were some paint issues, but overall I think they are pretty good quality too. Especially if you compare this to other HP advent calendars (looking at you Cinereplicas!)

These are great figurines! I think there are goodies and baddies included so that kids can really play with them. The Golden Trio can battle against different baddies and plan with their friends/ allies. What a great calendar!

Oh, I quite like this Advent Calendar! It's a fun one and I actually love the fact they put some more unusual figurines in there like the troll, the centaur or the dragon (which is probably my favourite with Buckbeak tbh!)!

I will say I absolutely loved this. I would have loved playing with these as a kid. Also, I loved how they changed it up and put different creatures in and not just characters. Loved that they had Fang and Hagrid.

Schleich Figurines are very popular in Germany, especially in the Kindergarten in which i work. The best Thing about them ist that you can Put them in a pillow Case and wash them in the washing machine. The animals are usually so big that toddlers can Play with them without a choking hazard. edit: the animals look so "scary" because this brand is known for depicting the animal figures very realistically

I love the diversity on this, most advent calendars forget a lot of creatures and props of the series like the deathly hallows, the goblet of fire, books, the basilisk, the chamber of secrets entrance, the whomping willow, the remembrall, the philosopher’s stone, even tons of the creatures from the fantastic beasts saga, i hope the other advent calendars start improving this aspect instead of repeating the same items over and over again

I’m not the biggest Harry Potter fan but I do like the stories very much. Having said that, I came across a Dolby plush doll that I thought was positively nightmare fuel! I love the idea of a house elf mine would be a free elf(in fact I would most likely buy him a little suit.

schleich are famous for the hyper realistic animal figurines. I've got a t-rex mom and her baby t-rex, my sister had a velociraptor. They can move their jaws and you can make them hold something in it. lol We sometimes take them with us on holidays and stage funny photos with them (like making them eat something at a restaurant).

Really like this one! And i honestly live the fact they included creatures you usually don't see get included. The paint jobs on most of them actually looks pretty good for how small they are as well. I think the only one I didn't like was Luna, ahe just looked worse than the others and idk, I would have preferred a character like Neville maybe.

Schleich is known for they're realistic scale figures, mostly animals, but they are usually a bit bigger, and then the wings can move and with some the jaw. As far as I know they are also painted by hand.

This is one of the best sets of Harry Potter figurines I've ever seen, thinking from a child's perspective. It would be amazing to have such a variety of characters to play with, especially the monsters. BUT I did miss Draco. I think he would've made it more complete, maybe instead of Nagini we could have had him.

I really liked this one. You never get to see a baby testrhal... Snape is very much loved, but is seldom in a calendar. And it's Christmas time - there's room for everyone but Draco... even Nagini, 🤣🤣🤣. Seriously, I truly liked this calendar.. This calendar looked really fun and yeah they should of added some more characters we all know and love fingers crossed Schleich makes another one for next year with other characters that wasn't in this year's one plus Aragog does look like a real spider not a big fan of him but the others did look cool and cutie. Maybe they should do an Advent Calendar per Harry Potter Book/Film now that would be cool to see even with different characters that are not in every book/film. 🎄💙

What a treasure! Well worth the $71 + . They were real and even though a few flaws, they are great. I love the dragon, Snape, hippogriff, and Fawkes.
