Who are the FIRE NA’VI?? James Cameron mentioned the ASH PEOPLE as antagonists of Avatar 3. For the first time, we’ll see evil Na’vi. What’s more, producer Jon Landau said that in Avatar 5, the story will take us to broken Earth, presumably to see the environmental disaster climate change has wreaked upon the home planet of humanity. Neytiri will be introduced to a morally complex picture of who the Sky People are. This gives me hope for the franchise. Despite the horrifically simplistic unobtainium and amrita (tulkun whale juice) of Avatar and Avatar Way of Water, this series could take a much more interesting turn in the next few years.

It is only 13 decades away and no human as even gotten back to the moon in the past 5 decades and people visiting Mars is decades in the future. Mars is closer to Earth than any other star system is.

@@akgakg6355 Thing is that is only 18 decades in the future and it took six decades from invention of airplane to get a person in orbit only a few hundred miles over the atmosphere, and its been over 5 decades since moon missions, and Mars mission is probably at least 2 decades away. On that scale 18 decades does not feel like enough time for an interstellar mission unless some major breakthrough like real life warp drive happens.

How could you realistically show a Navi or Avatar petting a cat or hugging a dog or playing with a horse or interacting with any kind of Earth animal? Interactions with humans worked because they were able to get the full cooperation of human actors but there is no way to get an animal to fully cooperate even if well trained. I think its an impossible special effect.

I think Neytiri’s arc in WoW and in the upcoming films is a legitimately interesting one. From what I can gather, the Na’vi believe that all forms of life play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of everything in existence, but it’s made clear throughout Avatar 2 that in some cases, like Neytiri’s, this doesn’t extend to anything beyond Pandora or what is sanctioned under Eywa. Because almost everything she’s seen the humans do has harmed Pandora and herself in some way (as in losing her sister, father, fiancé, and her son to them), and she obviously no longer sees Jake as having been a member of this very species at one point, she has a somewhat warped view of what kinds of life are considered worthy of respecting, be it of Pandora, Earth, or anywhere else. So I think in Avatar 3 the Ash People will represent Neytiri’s distrust and hatred for humanity being brought to the extreme, and their actions will help her realize that not even her own people are without their imperfections.

Isn’t their philosophy that all that exists on Pandora belongs to Eywa? So taking from Pandora is taking from Eywa. Resources never to be brought back to Pandora, never to be returned to Eywa. I wonder what humans did offer to the Na’vi. They didn’t seem to appreciate technology (as they’re are one with nature), which I assume would be the key thing humans would offer.

This is how I picture these guys. Navi on all parts stay away from the volcanic part of Pandora. Stories are told of a savage culture of Navi where you will know you're in their territory when you start seeing skulls of Navi who failed to escape them warning others you're not welcome. If you face these Navi, you'll find their trophies of shrunken Navi heads that they wear around their waists of their conquests. Do not stare into their eyes because in the end you'll be doomed as you'll receive a smile of fangs and lizard eyes staring back and you may be their meal. If you escape? You'll have a story to tell and those around you will remark on your bravery.

Avatar covering what the Earth is really like would be cool. I've always had mixed feelings about the representation of humans in the franchise, as it obviously just shows one side of us. Our earth and humans are more beautiful than we think. And honestly I'd love to see more of what it looks like in this universe cuz we only see some places in the extended version.

Now the ash Navi could work if they do two things. The first is make them a threat to both humans and Navi, something they should be feared above all else. But also, make them the exact opposite of the other clans. Jake in the first movie says humans can’t give the Navi anything they want, but what if this is wrong. What if the ash Navi want human products like alcohol, human food, and above all else, guns. It would be a huge thing to confuse Jake and thus the audience.

My ideal Ash Navi would be that they live in an area that Eywa was little influence and thus they broke some of her rules this led to them being slightly more technologically advanced. Do to this they started to doubt if Eywa should even be the right or only way to live because technology improved their lives they tried to spread it to the other only for Eywa to realize what they did and she in turn influenced the Na Vi, like it influenced the animal to attack the humans, to attack the ash tribes. The Ash tribes would suffer repeated genocide until they numbered less than a hundred and hidden in an area where even Eywa could not enter less she loose her influence on the other Navi.

In fiction you want the heroes to be the underdog. Nobody would have enjoyed Rocky 4 if Rocky had been bigger and stronger than Ivan Drago. So far it looks like the all around strongest and toughest tribe is the Metkayena (water people). Their chief was a lot stronger than Jake (and dwarfed him). I think the EVIL Navi should be even stronger than the Metkayena. That would help to make them seem SCARY. Imagine if their chief was motion capture acted by a large human body builder or strongman and a scene where the Metkayena leader is fighting their leader and like what happened to Schwarzenegger in Predator the Metkayena chief is being tossed around like a rag doll by the much stronger evil leader.

Coming from a group of people who actually use fire for more then for cooking, I can make some assumptions. They’re seen as overly violent, fire wielding na’vi, who set fire to the plant life on an regular basis. They might not have those connection things and seemingly rely on their own abilities. The ‘main’ reason they burn plant life is for hunting, flushing animals out and picking them off as they flee. Jake will come across one of their burn sites and ask why they’re doing this and no one can really say. There’s some cool new animals, a dog like beast, an ‘mammalian’ that can unhinge it’s jaw, new winged characters, maybe some recognisable pouched land animals. The twist is that these Ash Na’vi actually do have a connection to the land and animals, they even hunt and have strong bonds with the predators of their land. Their burning actually helps their land to rejuvenate, the heat opens seeds, it gets rid of dangerous bugs in the grass and it stops massive wild fires. And the main dilemma is of course a massive wild fire because Jake stopped the Ash Na’vi from doing their seasonal burning and once they realise their mistake they try to stop the fire from destroying the entire land/planet.

If you're getting a job with a company that's still solely interested in mining and colonization even after encountering an alien ecosystem including intelligent life, you either don't know what you're actually signing up for, which all of the humans that question/betray the company express, or you don't care either because you're genuinely a human supremacist/sociopath and/or that paycheck is nice enough for you to forsake your remaining moral scruples.

I hope he spends more time on the emotion and consequences of humans losing. Yes they may be the bad guys but what lengths would we go to today if our planet was projected to die in a generation. I think the first hr should spend a lot of time diving into that so the fights in the next two hrs of them film have even more complexity to them

Dude there was already a Avatar reverence in part 1. Itxs the moment when Jake confesses his love to Pandora and Neytiri. He litterly says "But then everything changed..." If there will be more Avatar related stuff then i am not really suprised if lawsuit will be infolved. They had it already with the name. At least the whole 4 elemen5s thing would explain Kiri's origins. Woudn't be suprised if the Ssh Na'vi would be greish blue with reddish markings. After aall the water peaple had more of a aquatic color sceme while Neytiri had more of a Nature/Sky color theme.

Personally I felt they added enough moral complexity to Avatar 2 to at least hit an industry standard. Sure it's not Schindlers list but still. Turns out Quaritch was motivated in A1 to protect his son not just to kill natives, he recognizes his son straight away, he stops his torture early, he tries even to connect with his son throughout, and stops the hostage standoff first, very vader-esque but definitely more complex than say Thanos or most modern villains. He's going to have to choose between his child or his species and home planet. Add in there that Jake and his family had to abandon their people in order to protect their kids and learn how to submit to another after they've fought so well and I would dare say you're being a bit harsh. Again it's not going to win any drama awards but it's not entirety one dimensional either. Just my opinion.

I mean if you rewatch the first one you’ll hear the humans say they tried to land peacefully and made the navi clones to communicate with the navi in order to discuss land that the humans would be allowed to mine on, the navi instead of being reasonable just attacked and because the entire base was mostly scientists and miners they were overrun, hence why the human return in the second movie are so military focused and violent because it’s retaliation, the humans were the good guys all along

I think there's more going on, on Earth than the story is letting on. I'd bet that there's a pivotal element regarding Earth and what's been happening in the decades since that will play a significant part. Remember, they're genetically cloning avatars and plants, maybe something is going terribly wrong on Earth because of genetics that could be stopped with help from Pandora. Also, they most definitely cloned some Nav'i, I'd also bet there's cloned Nav'i (possibly Nyteri or her sister) living in Earth is special containment facilities, unbeknownst to everybody else and I think they'll be vastly different than the Nav'i we've come to expect.

I think there's still alot of things that need exploring, like why are the humans only colonising Pandora? Wouldn't unobtanium and other resources be on the other moons? What if there are outcast Na'vi that have rejected Eywa and have tried creating their own technology, perhaps seeing humanity as Gods/Saviours freeing them from Eywa.

Honestly the best criticism of avatar is the one people hate hearing but it’s true. It took 13 years to get the second film and what? 10 for the first?? James ambition is so large that how long will it take to get all 5 films made??? That and the only good part of avatar 2 were the underwater scenes. The land or regular cgi was shotty and terrible. It takes you out of the film but you let it go because it’s avatar. So in the next 10 years I’m pretty sure people are going to be more open about trashing it and will question his ambition as a film maker because where exactly is it leading us .

bro… i made a fire Avatar before i saw this The Fire Na’vi were all dancers and could Hold and make fire at their fingertips like a candle would with a wick. they were spiritual dancers that would dance and manipulate fire like a ritual and have fun and teach others about how anyone can bond through music and dancing. Showing how fire is a beautiful thing and has so much compassion to burn for, and whoever holds the flame is how the flame would act; that is the only way fire can become destructive, if the wielder ‘bends’ the fire that way, the fire will flow with the movements. Anyone was welcome if they wanted to be welcomed, and learn the ways of their tribe or spread their own culture to theirs. But the fire nation always attacks ig 😜😤😰 wish they chose a different element (??) like- why do the fire people always gotta be bad, we gotta break this stereotype you guys 😭😭
