DUDE.. I AM SO STUCK AT ELIMINATOR. I'm brand new to Tekken, transferring over from MK (I'm a God in MK) and my ignorance has left me completely stumped in ELIMINATOR rank. I dunno what it is, but I'm trying to fix it.. Reminds me of when I got stuck at Grandmaster in MK11. That's the rank when you start to get legit resistance. It's kinda embarrassing though because you'd think my generic understanding of fighting games would have got me to the red ranks..

That Jin who had decked out his character to look like K' from KOF did an amazing job with his character creation.

Tekken has been so fun. I only played Tekken 3 as a kid in the 90s. Coming from SF6 to Tekken has been awesome. Still confused and mostly mashing but a lot of fun and feels way better than SF6. SF6 just feels weird and random at times Tekken feels more fair. Hopefully that makes sense.

bruh tekken is an endless knowledge check untill you learn it all, it's fun and I love it but damn
@watchmesquatch7 ай бұрын
@@riveteye93 it's much more enjoyable than SF because it feels like a real fight. SF gets bland after about 100-200 matches.

@@watchmesquatch100% hit master rank, and a lot of match’s felt the same, maybe it’s because I mainly run into Luke or ken, with a few Ryu, and Djs. Tekken on the other hand, even the same character plays completely different, depending on the player.

@@yoshitsune5691yes, you can differentiate the skill of your opponent through their movement too.

While Virtua Fighter remains in history, Tekken is pretty much the only fighting game in which the mental stack consists of body mechanics rather than meter usage (Of course, Tekken 8 is a move toward the rest of the genre.).

After the 1+2 throw, you have a guranted d4. If they get up fast a lot, df44 (warning, unsafe option).

what i used to do in t7, a month ago was write down in my notes the gameplan for every character I faced and 3 moves to avoid or punish. and It worked, and I got to Ryujin for the first time

In chess they call it taking the initiative. If you sit back and let your opponent form their plans, you can fall into a trap. Walter White said it best "I'm not in danger, I am the danger"

Ha, nice job. See you in red ranks, if you're not already there :D One thing: you were using Jun's FC df1, the 10 frame punish, a couple of times as a normal attack. The first hit is a special low, so they can block it even when they are standing as long as they hold back. It costs a lot of health and on top of that is -19! So use it only as punish.

You're too respectful of your opponents, letting them breathe and playing passive. If you're new to the series, it's a hard road if that's the play style you prefer because of so many characters and moves to learn. Maybe you should play a character more oriented to keep out like Lee, Asuka, Bryan. And use more power crushes if you're getting overwhelmed. It'll help relieve the pressure and reset to neutral
