I lived in HK for four years back in the early '90s and when I wasn't (shamefully) eating McDonald's, I lived on Guk ju pa fan! Totally forgot about it! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I'll be putting this together this week.

We don't say the -shire part. It's pronounced Wooster, as in Bertie Wooster from the Jeeves and Wooster stories. Not Worchestersheer, or Worchestershyer or Worchestersher. Simply, Wooster Sauce.

This was my favorite dish growing up, from a place called Kowloon Cafe in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. They called it Baked Portuguese Chicken

I laughed at the controversy over the sauce. In Northumberland we pronounce it 'woo-stah' sauce. You'd write it as 'wooster'.

I have just followed your recipe according to your link and it has to be the worst, saltiest recipe I have ever eaten. The batter recipe you have for just the pork chop calls for 1 tablespoon for 2 pieces of pork. I scraped off all the batter but the meat was already messed up from the salt. Could you please check your recipe and update. Thank you
