Hi Jeremy another great recipe, but could you do grilled Peking prawns in a sweet red sauce (not sure what the sauce is called not swwet and sour) if you know it. I get it from my local take away all the time

Hi Lee i'm not sure it does have chilli in it (although i always ask for without) I'll have to ask them. its really sweet red sauce just says peking sauce or peking style in the menu

Hi, did this recipe not require any seasoning like salt or pepper? I’m not keen on fish sauce so was thinking of using Worcester Sauce instead?
@aaronblakely58736 жыл бұрын
Most of the salt is in the sauces so if you add salt it ends up too salty
@SchoolofWok6 жыл бұрын
I used soy sauce as a replacement for fish sauce in this dish, works just as well. Also, as someone else has said, the salt is in the sauces! - Lee

If you do this on low heat in yr carbon steel wok, I'm sure it will destroy the patina. I got rid of all my Teflon coated pans and now I use my wok for everything including French toast, fish and steaks. I guess I'll use my enamel coated cast iron skillet.

Jeremy, I'm sure the recipe will work without the honey in the glaze. All the people commenting on how wonderful the recipe is, obviously can't cook or have no palate. Mate, you burnt the bloody chicken and it would taste burnt and bitter; I don't care what you say. Perhaps a better option would be to add some honey to the remaining sauce after the grilling is finished, prior to serving the chicken..... HONIST!!
@georgenooner6 жыл бұрын
i like it when a cook takes time to actually chew and taste the cooked food after he bites.... most chefs nowadays after taking the first bite... the next millisecond after... they go ohhh aahh suuch good food....... christs sake you didnt even take time to taste the damn thing geez...👍Jeremy
