the issue with this conversation is that its just a conversation.. everybody knows what the issue is, but no one seems to have the solution. we let things escalate to a point where conflict is inevitable and then try to find who is to blame for... happened with ISIS and Syria, then Ukraine and Russia, now Israel and Hamas. Next will be China who is poking everyone and if someone pushes back, they will be made the villain, they occupied HK and no one said a word... UN is one of the most useless organizations out there..

This is a perfect example of postmodernist morality. Acting as if the issue is too complex to understand, that there is no clear line between the victim and the murderer, as if both sides have a just cause. Add to that the Westernized view on ''outside conflicts'', as if the ''other'' live in a bubble of subjectivity and we can see things objectively, yet again, from an objective perspective, we still can't decide who is on the right. This shows that the West has lost its moral compass and the moral high ground that it stands on when ''teaching'' the world what is right and what is wrong. If you use your brain for 5 minutes you will see that the Jewish issue is created in the West, that anti-zionism does not equal anti-semitism, and that Israel is a state of evil that is built on a history full of massacres, racism, apartheid, displacement, and war crimes.

@@user-tf3jf2fi6d Israel basically represents the West and its ability to propagandize and turn almost anything abhorrent into something heroic. Israel was recently founded because of a genocide (holocaust) through genocide (Nakba - first genocide of the Palestinians). Yet Israel is celebrated as a symbol of "freedom" and "democracy" despite having apartheid, deep racism built into the foundation of the country, and actively committing ethnic genocide for decades. They have support all across the West thanks to religious fanatics and zionist power/money influence. See why almost every single Western politician is extremely supportive of Israel, even "progressives". Not a single other issue is seen or supported so bipartisan as this is, and that's not a coincidence.

What a powerful segment. I have a deep sense of respect for all members of this discussion. I have an emotional connection to the conflict through friends and family, and even then it's clearer than ever that this conflict is directly the result of neglectful leadership and a lack of communication. Both sides have been demonizing each other for as long as anyone can remember, and the refusal to look forward instead of tallying up blame and perpetuating paranoia is the cause of citizens dying.

Hey Guys, As an Egyptian i get it, I get how being far from the conflict and not following the events on like a daily Basis that you may be confused of Who's right and Who's wrong (If that's even a thing). A better way to look into it is to look on What's right or wrong (What not Who) and then start make an opinion on the events itself , then go back and see who did these horrific events then any automatic bias will be eliminated. One thing i can't keep out of my mind is that the world is convinced that the conflict started on 7th Oct, and the discussion start from there. it has been more than 75 Years!! Killing Civilians , Kids and Women , Innocent people is disgusting and is an act of terror, so in both sides it should be condemned so go back and look on the numbers and events, then and only then you would be able to make clear statements who deserve to get the terrorism label.

I appreciate the attempt to have a measured and even look at this issue. One thing I think you're unaware of is that the West Bank has multiple militant groups who also conduct terrorist acts on Israel and the IDF, and Hamas has many ties financially and in all other ways to these militant groups. The whole reason why they have a presence in the West Bank and in Gaza pre-2006 was because Fatah/PLO literally said they are unable to control the militant groups in their areas, and any time they are given equipment to fight the militants in their own areas the equipment ends up in the hands of the militant groups. Killing or arresting everyone in the militant groups supposedly "creates new terrorists" if you believe that trope. But essentially many of the things progressives are suggesting as solutions has been tried and failed. Even the attempts to shelter the PLO and palestinians in Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt all resulted in those host countries dealing with bombs, coups and other violence against their own people for the crime of trying to host them. (this is the reason egypt doesn't want to open their border to gazans, they would rather they suffer bombings than allow them in.)

While true that resolutions were rejected, I doubt Palestinians at the time could have imagined they’d be in a position to be completely at the mercy of the terms written by Israel, while being governed by corrupt ineffectual leaders or extremists who only view you as collateral damage and good suffering optics for the cameras. The current government of Israel is full of far right hardliners that seem more than willing to oblige Hamas in sacrificing the civilian population “for the cause“. Also, Netanyahu purposely derailed peace negotiations in the 90’s and whipped people into a frenzy which led to the assassination of the then Prime Minister of Israel Yitzhak Rabin. As an Israeli I thank you for this video from the bottom of my heart. I’ve been looking for anything remotely objective and could only find propaganda of either side. I’ve spent my life protesting the government I even got arrested for fighting for Palestinian rights but I did feel betrayed by the global “left” who seemed to be going so far left it was already becoming Palestinian “right” or nationalism. My vision for peace is exactly what you guys did. That everyone needs to acknowledge how fucked up everything is and how true both narratives actually are . My moms grandfathers grandfather was murdered by Arabs in 1888 that’s pre-Zionism. I still believe now more than ever in peace. I hope that Palestine will be free- but they have to redefine what Palestine is cuz it can’t abolish Israel. Never gonna happen . I hope one day there will be no countries like Lennon envisioned… Perhaps consider making a similar “both narratives” about the history from 1850s to 1948. Again… it was fucked up in many ways and both narratives are true. I hope that if many people actually educate themselves on both narratives and a balanced view then the next generation can make peace.

Two things missing from this conversation: 1. The British promised Palestine to European Zionists without consulting the Palestinians. These Zionists then moved to Palestine and were originally welcomed by Palestinians. The Zionists then pursued an ethnic cleansing policy to force out the Palestinians. 2. The US supports Israel without any conditions, consistently protecting Israel at the UN from any consequence of their actions. That means Israel has become more brutal over time, using illegal settlement building, apartheid, collective punishment, child imprisonment, imprisonment without charge, chemical weapons (e.g white phosphorus munitons) with impunity. The US and the West must become neutral in the conflict and allow full war crimes investigations into both sides. This is not an equal conflict. Europeans oppressed Jews, not Palestinians. Both sides must face international law.

An observation that I have made is that when you attack someone using tanks, helicopters and nukes media calls it automatically a war like in Ukraine, Afghanistan and Vietnam. The first question that arises is always, who is the good and who is the bad guy. But when you don’t have tanks and helicopters, just sticks and stones and you need to fight for your interests, it’s automatically called terror. And we never ask if it’s good or bad for obvious reasons. That’s since 9/11. our society would have called Che Guevara and Nelson Mandela terrorists too by todays standards.

I generally appreciate nuance when it comes to discussing sensitive issue, but I feel like their take here was carefully worded to avoid upsetting the Jews, specifically those pro-Israel. They went on and on about the anti-Semitism, the 1000+ lives lost on Oct 7th, the atrocities of Hamas, etc. and while those points are completely valid, they barely touched on the absolute bloodbath Palestinians are facing. Over 10,000 of them have been killed (the VAST majority of which were not Hamas), but they didn't mention that number. They kept speaking in the passive voice too, like 'Palestinians are being killed, being ripped out of their homes', not verbalising that Israel is doing it. Israel is bombing hospitals, schools, homes, shelters, and they will not agree to a ceasefire even for the return of their hostages. This is not a complicated, nuanced issue. I have sympathy for innocent civilian suffering on both sides, but it is very clear who is suffering more. It's a shame that so few people in the limelight are willing to take a strong stance on this genocide, but it's understandable. A lot of pro-Israel Jewish people run the media, and the threat of losing your career over a strongly anti-Israel take is very real.

This video definitely needs an update and I would like to add that Islamophobia should have also been addressed. Plus the thousands of Palestinian hostages including many children kept in brutal conditions (we’ve seen how their cells look like). Ahmed Manasra’s story in itself should spark a million nerve cells. Also, from the thousands of clips we’ve seen of Gazans, they did not say one word of hate towards Jews, even though entire families are being wiped out. Also what about Southern Lebanon innocent children killed and homes being destroyed? This has nothing to do with Judaism and everything to do with grabbing resources so the West can get rich at the expense of indigenous people. I hope by the 7th month you now have come to see this.

The reason I think Anti-Semitism is less worrisome right now than the dehumanization of the Palestinians is because Anti-Semitism is coming from people with no influence or power, whereas the Palestinians have been degraded, disregarded, humiliated and terrorized FOR DECADES from all directions by people with real power and influence, Politicians, media, you name it, the people who are not only enabling but are literally the root cause of the ongoing genocide. If you have been following this conflict since October, you'll notice that there are mostly common folk who empathize with the Palestinians, and you'll never see any Politician or big media people speak the same way about them..

What are you talking about. Like there are literally people who are anti-semitic with influence and power who are causing a lot of this. Iran funds Hamas and Hezbollah. All of their weapons, equipment, wages, food/drink, etc are paid by them. And you are wrong - depending on your algos, you'll see vids with comments from mostly Palestinian supporters or vice versa. You are likely ingesting media that aligns with your beliefs/thoughts/etc,; not everyone feels the same way as you.

(I am jewish for context) I have always felt like a stranger in my country. My family comes from lots of different places, I see antisemitism go unnoticed, and my jewish culture separates me from the average Brit. Now, I feel like even more of a stranger in my own country. People in my own city are calling for my death and the deaths of my people. On top of that, people who are supposed to be smart call for our deaths, too. At this point, I want to move to Israel because at least there I belong even if it isn't the safest place in the world. I want peace with the Palestinians, but I also want a safe place to run to where I belong. I want to go back to my homeland, which is historically Jewish. But if I am being honest, I want peace with them, but I feel like they hate us too much. They will also not be free from Hammas for a long time, and until they are, there can not be peace.

You are absolutely right with everything you said. You, and all of our beautiful brothers and sisters are welcome to come here, to Israel. 🙏🏻💕 As horrific as October 7th was, it only united us within our country, and ended up creating something beautiful within. I was saying from the beginning, that with everything that's going on, I still feel the safest here from all other places in the world, at this time. If you do decide to come, you will be welcomed with the greatest warmth. עם ישראל חי🫂💙🤍🇮🇱🙏🏻🙏🏻🌈

But when I remember being in Israel, I feel so at home and more connected to Hashem. Thank you so much for saying this, btw. It makes me feel like I am not alone.

@@apersonontheinternet915 I always believe that when we choose the path that feels right in our whole essence, then things will fall into place - such as finances, friends, family, chosen family, romance, etc. The universe/God your angels and spiritual team will do all that is possible to bring you all that your heart desires and to take care of you in all aspects. All you need to do is trust. One thing I can tell you, is you will feel the togetherness if you do decide to come. It's a warm feeling - especially now. And hey, if for some reason things don't work out as you had hoped, you can always go back, right? Always listen to your heart and calling 🙏🏻🌼 You are never alone, remember that💙💕💕 Good luck with any path you choose. Sending you much love, light, warmth, happiness and peace 💕🦋🕊😊.

Please search before Jewish rule who were actually arab Jews from Iraq and Egypt. Jews ruled for 400 years and it’s not the same Jews that are from all around the world. Before the 400 years of Jewish rule, it was the Canaanites and Egyptian New Kingdom which were Arabs. Israel tries to choose the timeline and attempts to eliminate the actual history. Also, DNA testing is banned in Israel due to this reason.

1:15 that’s such a respectable line. I myself try and stay silent on issues until I do my own research and understand the truth. Many people talk out of their ass and spew out hateful rhetoric. I’ve done it in the past myself, and I’m not proud of it. We need more intellectual conversations and understanding of complex situations such as this!

Andrew, love the middleman perspective, but as a European that live with a huge influx of immigrants from the middleeast, very simply put, the palestinian perspective you quoting, its very rare, all over Europe jews are hated on, anti-semitism is openly accepted by and from immigrants. The truth is, what Israel is experiencing today, is Europe in 50 years, might be America in a 100. So its simply put, are we for humanitarian secular democracy or Islamic Theocracy?

Historically Europe has treated the Jewish population terribly. They experienced relative peace and prosperity across the middle east. But I do agree that unfortunately since the violent inception of Israel, anti Jewish sentiment is more rife in the region as the mood soured over decades of occupation.

It’s good to try to understand what all sides are going through. It’s not ok not to take a clear stand in a topic that many try to say it’s complicated to avoid taking a stand. Ready? Here are are 2 possible solutions: - A 2 state solution as voted for by UN which includes a free, independent Palestinian state on West Bank, Gaza & East Jerusalem(Which represents only 22% of the land for the Palestinians, which is injustice, yet they accepted it. Israel killed this solution by moving 700,000 Israeli settlers to illegal settlements in the West Bank & East Jerusalem. Israel should take back its settlers to make it possible - The second is to have one state on all the land for both the Israelis and the Palestinians on the basis of equal rights. Again, Israel doesn’t accept that as it wants to be a Jewish state If Israel rejects the 2 possibility this means that it expects millions of Palestinians to die, leave their homeland, or accept to live as sub humans in an apartheid state See? Not complicated. It has nothing to do with antisemitism. One side is the occupying oppressor. The other is occupied & oppressed. Take a stand

The arabs in Israel already have equal rights. you can find videos about it on youtube, hundreds of them. i can find some links if u want. so technically we are already in what u call the second solution. maybe fact-check your feelings before expressing them publicly.
