Blessed are the kids who grow up like this in any part of the world!

just stumbled upon your channel and am in love. All your videos focus on food but with not the mad rush of modern chef-ism, rather with the gentle touch of older generations, nurtured traditions, and families knit together in love, caring, appreciation for nature, art, literature and community involvement. If the whole world lived like this - with a slightly slower pace, without cell phones and narcissistic selfies, earth would be heaven indeed. Thanks for all your videos.

How did she pick those nettles with her bare hands?
@romber585 жыл бұрын
The answer is to grasp firmly...If you pick them like a scared wimp you will probably get stung.hahaha
@koelnkorrekt5 жыл бұрын
There is an old saying in Germany: "Have mercy! Too late! The Hessians are coming!" I suppose the handling of stinging nettles is one of the basic skills of these robust people ;-)
@not_on5 жыл бұрын
They don't sting if you only touch them with the calloused parts of your hands.

It s the origin of the saying 'grasping the nettle' If you take them firmly, by the stalk, as she did, you do not get stung. So the saying means don't be faint hearted. If you take something on wholeheartedly you will win through, even if it is daunting..
