I've noticed a commonality on indie Sci-Fi shorts: the filmmakers dial the mood audio up to 11. Now, background audio does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to giving the viewer an emotion like suspense or fear. It's also very necessary in Sci-Fi for immersion of the viewer into the world. But, and this is a very large but, it shouldn't drown out the dialog nor be an auditory focus for the viewer. It should tingle, not slap. (And it shouldn't cause headaches like in this film.)

Lot going on, but the atmosphere, acting, and conclusion really stood out. Spoilers - Great insight into each character and human nature. I found the build up on raiders compared to their interaction at the end interesting. They sounded like the more civilized and powerful group. Made me wonder if they were made out to be the bad guys so the real bad guys on Earth could get away with murder. Loved the twist with the detective and the person they falsely accused (which I didnt really get if that was just him being a jerk or if he really thought it might have been more than one person involved). My one complaint is ultimately the killer put his stamp on the evidence which made all the question superfluous. Of course you cant have one of the innocent people do what they did if you go directly to the person responsible. Great job on a very interesting series.

Love the entry. Nice visuals. Just remember one thing. One of the most beautiful parts of outer space is that it's quiet.

Hey Pete, we regularly enjoy your material. I was eager to peek behind the cool title. This particular script and quite a few others move far too slow. Especially for a short flick. It's would even be too slow for a full length feature movie. The amazing British series Mid Sommer Murders regularly squeezed two hours of incredible content into one hour. I think they did 19 seasons. This is just a suggestion for your wonderful team of creators to consider. We will continue to watch with anticipation of future possibilities.

Great work DUST. Your videos are so captivating that I just procrastinated again from doing my college assignments. . . . . . . . . 😅 Don't know whether its a positive or negative comment.😓

We love that our series is making you procrastinate! But we echo DUST - our public service announcement is to STAY IN SCHOOL! (But also keep watching sci fi). Thanks for watching!
