This is an interesting question, and my idea at the time was to give this little mushroom a bit of a puppy-like personality.😉

@ I like the way the fungus had presence of mind to communicate thru anthropological body language, the way her entire conveyance of her plead for help was some oscillating angular momentum. Is the one in black human (biological) or merely stone? I like how presently I’m not sure whether the larger sleeping fellah there is using those fungi for a pair of cestus, or food? I like how it looks like the man in black is trying to figure it out. All thru no woods and a child comprehending. Nice.

After watching this series, I'm beginning to realise that it might not be a great idea to expand outward into space after all. And that it is a blessing that we have no figured out how to travel faster than light. I mean, on a time scale of 4+ billion years of the age of our planet, hominids have been around for about 4 million years (0.1%), which means conditions for giant animals and adverse flora and fauna were prevalent for 99.9% of the time of the planet so far. In this time, first there was no oxygen atmosphere, then there was too much oxygen, then it was too hot or too cold. There were for a long time, each 1-5% of the lifespan, giant insects, giant lizards, giant birds, giant mammals, giant reptiles, giant trees, giant plants, giant carnivorous plants, and of course a long period (50%?) of just lava everywhere. That is what makes up 99.9% of our planet's history. Now imagine we catch another planet in any one of those periods, randomly. Do we really want to land there, to colonize / conquer / make friends? And with whom? Giant insects, reptiles, worms, mammals, birds or trees? Imagine that some Einstein-like mind is born in this century who discovers FTL or anti-gravity or teleportation through empty space or whatever. Just like we have destroyed life on this planet, we will destroy first our solar system, then many other solar systems with all their varied and speciated life. Lose-lose for both sides. Effectively, as long as we have armies, corporations, lawyers and politicians, we are not fit to be given FTL, for the good of the universe and ourselves both.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful thoughts and concerns about space exploration. Your perspective is very unique and thought-provoking. Although there are risks in space exploration, human curiosity and exploration spirit are also important driving forces for us to move forward.
