hi how about Sorbitol in the form of IV fluid suppliments together with Vit B complex.. can it also increase Osmotic pressure and Since it won't pass inside the cellular membrane will it cause an increase HBa1C at the Advance Glycosylation End?

What makes the cell want to produce sorbitol? Why would´t it use hexokinase to produce glucose-6-phosphate (glycolysis)?
