So much natural beauty in the universe, makes our everyday problems seem so trivial.

Unreal. I saw it two nights ago and snapped a picture of it - totally blew me away. The explanation was cool.

I used the arrangement of these two to catch my first glimpse of Mercury - thanks! Only got to see it for a matter of seconds before it disappeared behind some clouds but it was cool to "officially" see it. Cool stuff, thanks!

@Saparonia No the video did not tell us the fovea, is the reason we pay close attention to the TV. Merely mentioned that TV is one of the things we use to fovea to see in more detail. Driving & reading where mentioned where we use the fovea to see better.

Its called exposure. More light is captured because the shutter was "over-exposed", making images to appear MUCH brighter than they do to the naked eye. Look into it, you can do it yourself with a digital camera, or a DSLR(If you can afford one) ^_^

standing beside the canal, and the horns were long. One of the horns was longer than the other but grew up later. I watched the ram as it charged toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against it, and none could rescue from its power. It did as it pleased and became great."

@sunwarz I recall being told the moon exits stage left in late Feb. The crescent moon was on the bottom to show when it forms a triangle with the 2 planets. The same moon was sown to form a triangle the following night being at the upper right. U may want to reply the vid.

Well, we sent Spacecraft way out there and found they are more "celestial bodies" than anything else, mountains form out of Tectonic plates that ride on the Ocean. When two converging boundaries come together, it has an upward angle, forming mountains. Some planets and stars are rather far away, so on Earth we can't feel the affects regardless of that.

I'll be watching. Venus close to the Moon on the 25 February 2012 and the Moon close to Jupiter on the 26th. Thanks. I'll be looking up! I always spots these two planets here in Vancouver. I wish we would have more clear days.

I look forward to taking some good photos of the crescent moon in conjunction with Venus and Jupiter next weekend if weather permits. . . I got a pretty good photo of Venus and Jupiter flanking the statue of Nicolas Copernicus in front of the Dow Planetarium of Montreal on January 18th. You can see it on the Eye Love Montreal blog.

Ah, no. I mean they figured this out by looking at other star systems! We have seen planets forming by accretion, solid evidence when you see it with your own eyes! What I wouldn't understand is what they would gain from keeping things from us, NASA has their own website with the latest findings. Besides, when you have been studying Astronomy your whole life, Besides, I've studied Astronomy quite a bit, all of it matches up with what they say. We haven't been around since the beginning anyway.

Someone actually started saying the 21st is the beginning of the end.....did they pull a Harold Camping? My friend was so full of fear she ran away from home and tried to kill herself she Slit her wrists. She is in the hospital but she is insane. If that's what fear does to people....what an awful thing..

... The earth is rotating. 24 hours in one day right? 360 degrees* circumference of a sphere* that is 15 degrees in one hour. to us we see about 11 degrees in any one direction, of that only 5 degrees is really defined. not only that, but the planets themselves revolve around the sun(though jupiter a bit slower, which is why they can vary so wildly in distance every 24 hours.) Believe it or not, science explains it all, though it IS a bit hard to conceptualize for humans. Enjoy ^_^

In my vision I saw myself in the citadel of Susa in the province of Elam; in the vision I was beside the Ulai Canal. I looked up, and there before me was a ram with two horns,

@Thyalwaysseek ...I am sorry you reached that conclusion. I did not say or imply that NASA was "the holy grail of all knowlege". You have made an assumption, and have prejudged and presumed upon me an opinion that is not based on fact or reality. That is the main problem with 'conspiracy theory' type of mentallity, it makes great blind leaps simply because one thinks its true, with no cold hard facts to support it. Then 'dissing' those that don't agree.

Fallen Angels taught our cavemen sort of man of the trees and roots but of other things as tools of war and astronomy was a major teaching as well. People who believe in GOD has a problem with it and don't believe, yet the bible speaks of science and Angels who were mostly called; stars. We should study this more shouldn't we?
