The activated sludge process is a type of wastewater treatment process for treating sewage or industrial wastewaters using aeration and a biological floc composed of bacteria and protozoa.
The general arrangement of an activated sludge process for removing carbonaceous pollution includes the following items: An aeration tank where air (or oxygen) is injected in the mixed liquor. This is followed by a settling tank (usually referred to as "final clarifier" or "secondary settling tank") to allow the biological flocs (the sludge blanket) to settle, thus separating the biological sludge from the clear treated water.
In a sewage (or industrial wastewater) treatment plant, the activated sludge process is a biological process that can be used for one or several of the following purposes: oxidizing carbonaceous biological matter, oxidizing nitrogenous matter: mainly ammonium and nitrogen in biological matter, removing nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus).

Kyonki.. जितना अधिक ऑक्सीजन हम sludge में add करेंगे इतनी ही अधिक bacterial growth होगी। और उतनी ही जल्दी sludge खत्म होकर sattle हो जाएगा।

Bro, जितने भी "Ciliates bacteria" होते हैं उन bacteria की संख्या activated sludge process में ज्यादा होनी चाहिए और जितने भी "Flagellates bacteria" यानी कि पूंछ वाले bacteria और amoeba, इनकी संख्या कम होनी चाहिए या होनी ही नहीं चाहिए bcz उनकी वजह से suspended solids का निर्माण होता है| जैसा कि मैंने Activated Sludge Process वाली वीडियो में बताया है l कृपया वीडियो को ध्यान से देखें और बात को समझने की कोशिश करें फिर भी कोई Doubt हो तो आप मुझसे दोबारा पूछ सकते हैं आप इंटरनेट पर Ciliates एंड Flagellates बैक्टीरिया की बारे में जानकारी ले सकते हैं उनकी प्रॉपर्टीज जान सकते हैं।
