$120 for a 50ml face cream? My goodness, and looking at the ingredients I'm really having a hard time justifying the price. Even if you would buy pracaxi, pau mulato, Grape, and Andiroba seed oil separately you would not come even close to the price. Being from Brazil I could easily buy 250 to 500 ml of these oils for a little less than 40 reais I understand the effort put into the product but what is the point if the majority of people can't buy it? I Don't get it.

Hi - I’m catching up on all your fantastic videos. I just want to say that I tried this product - the one for the face and also the one for the body - and I saw no difference after six months and so discontinued using them. I turned 60 in February 2023, so when something says it can reverse aging, improve the health of the skin, and there’s some kind of science behind it and it’s not surgery, I’ll try it. I feel like six months was enough time to see change, and since I didn’t, I discontinued. Maybe others, like your Mum, will find that it improves their skin. I look forward to the update. Ida

They improved or looked worse in step with each other, depending on my hydration, how moist skin was, or if i'd tugged on it while showering or applying. There is no difference in my face. When i emailed to unquire anout using the product with Vitamin C or other serums, the answer was so vague as to be useless. It was basically advice to do whatever i thought worked. When i asked what ingredients in their cleanser made it different and more effective than other cleansers, the response was commercial advertisement for what the product purported to do, but not an answer as to why it was better. Guess i can't expect much. I'm still waiting for more reviews with the same lighting and clinical studies. As mentioned, in vitro is not the same as in vivo.

I can't find a plausible approach or feasible routine for me. It's worse than skincare and skincare is insane! Face scrubs, serums and everything else. I don't know where to begin. Today I purchased a simple (literally, the company is called, "simple") face wash for less than £3. I guess it's a start and I'll see how I get on. Next I'll add some night and day moisturizer along with some sun screen. Later I'll grab some vitamin c serums and eye serum. After that I'll include some retinol. If all of that does not get rid of my crow's feet and forehead lines I don't know what I'll do beyond once again braving the world of face exercises.
@thehonestchannel2 жыл бұрын
It’s an absolute maze isn’t it. The jury is out on face exercises in that they can cause you to lose volume due to reduced facial fat. A dermaroller is a good idea, along with a retinoid, vitamin c serum and sunscreen. Less is more!

Unfortunately , the interviewer does not understand longevity science or scientific methodology and rigourous testing of products ( placebo controlled trials , cell line application limitations , longitudional studies etc ). This makes it easy for such an individual to discuss and promote such products without solid evidence that they produce visible results (without showing statistically significant results or any results that can be quantitatively measured in a robust way ). The skin is a barrier , it does it's job well and rightly so . Many products are too large to go beyond the dead corneal layer, unless the skin is perforated. No entry ! Save your money ladies, or if you do want real results try exercise , good sleep hygiene , Mediterranean diet and oral MNM, T.MG , vitamin c and marine collagen ...now that'll blow the socks off anything this line of hyperexpensive largely / very minimally delivering product line . Add to it return A , and sun screen .You'll see results in 4 -9 weeks , age / health dependent. weeks

What is the active ingredient everybody talks around it - we’re gonna talk science and let’s talk active ingredient
@thehonestchannel2 жыл бұрын
The key active ingredient that she discusses in the video is their proprietary peptide. On their site under the product listings they include details of six other supporting active ingredients including oleic pau mulato extract, niacinamide, pracaxi and andiroba oil. I would have liked to have drilled into the ingredients a little more with Carolina but her time was limited.

I assume it would be mitochondria-encoded peptides humanin, MOTS-c, SHLP2 and SHLP6. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6046248/ Cellular senescence is a complex cell fate response that is thought to underlie several age-related pathologies. Despite a loss of proliferative potential, senescent cells are metabolically active and produce energy-consuming effectors, including senescence-associated secretory phenotypes (SASPs). Mitochondria play crucial roles in energy production and cellular signaling, but the key features of mitochondrial physiology and particularly of mitochondria-derived peptides (MDPs), remain underexplored in senescence responses. Here, we used primary human fibroblasts made senescent by replicative exhaustion, doxorubicin or hydrogen peroxide treatment, and examined the number of mitochondria and the levels of mitochondrial respiration, mitochondrial DNA methylation and the mitochondria-encoded peptides humanin, MOTS-c, SHLP2 and SHLP6. Senescent cells showed increased numbers of mitochondria and higher levels of mitochondrial respiration, variable changes in mitochondrial DNA methylation, and elevated levels of humanin and MOTS-c. Humanin and MOTS-c administration modestly increased mitochondrial respiration and selected components of the SASP in doxorubicin-induced senescent cells partially via JAK pathway. Targeting metabolism in senescence cells is an important strategy to reduce SASP production for eliminating the deleterious effects of senescence. These results provide insight into the role of MDPs in mitochondrial energetics and the production of SASP components by senescent cells.

The oils must just be a carrier base - as it is impossible for an oil molecule to penetrate the skin - on top of the skin will Give the outside cuticle of the skin a softer feel - they do not penetrate - very unusual that she should use an oil base for a Peptide - it is interesting that a lot of the skin care companies now Are not hiding their active ingredients - they are Openly discussing it with their intelligent consumers - as consumers not only wants to know about the active ingredients - which are protected by patent - they also want to know about quantities that the cream contains of the active ingredient - example the ordinary company - they have multi peptide serums - and they’re happy to discuss all of their ingredients - they have informed consumers - No fancy advertising or packaging and keeping peptides very low priced

I’ve been using this stuff FAITHFULLY, twice a day for six months. I give every new supplement or topical treatment six months to prove itself. But I have to say, at the end of the six mon this, if I don’t see any difference, in the slightest, I will not continue the product. Therefore, after I finish my sixth container of Oneskin, I will cancel my subscription.

Really sorry this didn't work out for you. In years to come we will be able to buy peptide-based creams and serums that are formulated according to the types of peptides our skin particularly lacks and could benefit from replacing. At the moment though, we have no way of analyzing that and therefore telling which peptides are best suited to our skin. It means someone like my mum can see great results with a product like this and another person zero. Frustrating, I know.

Sweetie just stop wasting money and get a face and neck lift. Stop wasting money on gimmicks and topical supplements with questionable efficacy. These people are just after your money. You look every bit your age and anyone telling you otherwise is lying. Surgery is the only thing that works once you reach a certain age.

I always appreciate honesty 😁 I turn 50 in February and i’m happy with the way I look. If I look my age that’s great - because I feel vital and energised. I’m not chasing eternal youth and I’m not interested in surgery. I want to live, look and feel well for as long as I can. That’s it.

@@thehonestchannel well you obviously are trying to look youthful that’s why you spend money and make videos on multiple procedures 🙄. If you want real life results which will knock years off you I suggest you save money towards a deep plane facelift by an excellent surgeon. Do research on RealSelf and go for multiple in person consultations. These non invasive treatments are very expensive and produce no or minimal results and in some cases like with Ultherapy they can have horrible consequences. Also I guarantee your channel will get much larger if you made videos documenting your surgical journey.

@@thehonestchannel I actually had a facelift. Wish it was a deep-plane one though, as I learned it wasn't. I do look about ten years younger but not just like I looked ten years ago. There are other reasons we look old, not just wrinkled skin. What about bone loss? The orbital area gets larger, and the bone's density decreases.

@@SheikhAlladeen Copied and pasted from the Forbes article: Is there any interesting research in skin aging that you are particularly excited about? One group is Oneskin - the CSO, Alessandra Zonari presented their initial data at the Science of Aging last year.
