One thing that not a single story has mentioned is our culture. I'm shocked that many of these stories don't mention it, nor care to add in a reaction from their species over our culture. The fact that we fight each other in war is always mentioned, but it's never mentioned that when we aren't at war, there is always competition. Competition between people or companies is a very warlike act. Beyond that, we also play many warlike games. Call of Duty, Warthunder, Hearts of Iron, Helldivers, even cartoonish games like Splatoon show our capacity for war.

There is one HFY story, where they mention, to one bird-like alien some video games. When it asks them, what are those, after the description ("you had to fight against something bigger and scarier than yourself, which sole goal is to kill you") it could only compare them to their warriors VR training program. I think Deathworlders made mention of it, because I know aliens on Folca found it weird at first that humans had their competitive nature when it came to exercising, and they even learned about Warhammer 40K because of some super soldiers who took to painting figurines to practice delicate movements with their new, larger bodies as a result of their rigorous training, body altering Corti drug, and diet.

Ya know what would happen if our Sun was suddenly replaced with a black hole of equal mass? Nothing. At least, nothing would happen to the orbits any planets. So, the bit about “collapsing a star into a black hole” wouldn’t actually do what they said it would _unless_ in the process of doing that they added untold tons of mass to it in order to increase its gravitational pull. Otherwise I liked the story.

They did say Supernova first though. That'll put a dent in the planetary system that won't buff out.

yep nothing. and if no accretion disk we just freeze to death. But our sun doesn't have enough stellar mass to become a black hole. It will just become a white dwarf.

Im a noob, but here me out. I think the bomb they used has something to do with it. the sun goes instantly supernova and then collapses into a black hole in a week, that doesnt sound normal. could it be some kind of gravity bomb? that caused the sun to go super nova, then collapse and pull things into it? creating a false gravity well ontop of the blackhole?

@@Whisper555 they say that our sun will end up as a white dwarf, but it will expand out to jupiter first.

When I was a kid, there was a children's sci Fi film that addressed this in one scene, "The Explorers". Look it up sometime.

The Geneva Convention, more like the Geneva Checklist. Also, fuck the author for just lazily copying and pasting the Grox from Spore!

Best way that can be described is how canada had a little too much fun during ww1 and is the cause of like what? Half of the geneva convention?

Some R&D engineer high off his butt on god knows what: Sir! *[-]7* We have completed the antimatter device. Human Admiral: Outstanding when can it be deployed? Engineer: Name the target we have 15 ships armed.
