Speaking of 40k/Star Wars crossover, I'd really like to kitbash a Chaos-corrupted AT-ST while being accompanied by a Killteam of Chaos Stormtroopers I think that would make for a really cool diorama, but I'd like to gear what you think of this idea

1:35 its not a Destroyer symbol but an irl radiation symbol. I actually never before realized that Destroyer symbol is clearly derived from it so thanks I guess 😅

Could the “lightning” on the assault marines with jump backs possibly be from a webber? I had this book when it first came out and I think there was a webber pistol or something like that. That may be why the “lightning” looks solid and casts a shadow, if I remember rightly about the webber pistol.

A lot of old warhammer creature art is kind of cool in a way that early-science and illustration work was done about 200+ years ago. Probably completely accidental, but they'd have some adventurer or scientist telling an illustrator how an elephant, dinosaur, kangaroo or capybara was supposed to look like and well, lets say the mileage varied in terms of believably accurate renditions. It ranged from super-accurately painted, highly detailed sketches that look nothing like a bird someone saw, to the really low-rent guy that just figured an elephant had upward pointing tusks like pig and dinner plate sized eyes. So somewhere in 1980's UK there was some guy yelling across the room that it was like a huge centipede but with a funny looking octopus head and 'yeah, alright!' was the reply.

Love these old art pics. They bring me joy from the 90s when i first saw them. Have to break out my books and have a look for inspiration. Great video, keep up the great work!

I have to plump for The Empire Strikes Back as my favorite Star Wars movie. Vader is in top form, Luke holds his own, Yoda is good, and the Han and Leia story has its most moving moment.

they were jet packs back in rogue trader, they were availible pretty early on, about the same time as the bullock jet cycle, you could buy an assault marine with jet packs unit set, 7 marines with chainswords, one with a power axe, one with a hand flamer and a leader with a power sword, and 10 jetpacks, it was pretty expensive back then at almost 10 quid, but came in a really cool oversized blister pack.
