Many moons ago our friends Ian and Kyle demonstrated the Scorpion Dart proving that the dart is potentially lethal and that Ian can injure himself with virtually anything.

As a dog walker I have used that exact line over and over when pulling the chain.

The Manrikigusari was not only considered an effective weapon against swordsmen, entrapping opponent weapons, etc., but as a utility device. It's even been suggested that it could be used as a rescue line for pulling someone out of a dangerous situation, sink hole, etc.

Thanks for another Weapons Wednesday. I have no chance of ever being able to use any of these effectively. I'm just not that coordinated. They are fun to watch, but I can't see myself ever having or using one. My favorite strike was that last strike on the side of the can. You hit the can directly in the middle with the middle of the bar. That one also seemed to be filmed at the perfect angle. The dart strike was impressive as well. Both the cans and the fruit work well as targets. Another idea might be pork ribs just to show whether you can break them with whatever weapon you are using. Dowel rods might also be a good target for this kind of weapon.

If you don't want to that's fine but the "I have no chance of ever being able to use any of these" just sounds like you don't believe in yo self. Man If by chance you DO want to learn please dont let that hold you back.

@@abdulnasirbushra6049 I'm old and disabled. My speech patterns have slowed. I sometimes stutter badly. As will be painfully obvious, I still write without a problem. I'm still exercising pretty regularly to slow my decline. I don't do badly. Sometmes, I can look pretty strong for anywhere from five minutes to maybe forty minutes, but I'm not improving in the way that a normal person would improve. At this point in life, I don't believe in myself. When I was a kid, my parents wanted me to be musical. I was learning and practicing one kind of instrument or another for ten of my twelve years of primary and secondary education. I was okay because I practiced so hard, but I had no talent. I was never good. That I had a tin ear was a big problem. In hindsight, I never enjoyed music as much as I thought I did. I wanted to make my parents proud. Each of us has different talents. Sometimes, there's value in doing things that are outside our talents even if we never become good. At some point, a therapist might want me to get the practice version of one of these weapons and try learning some of these moves. The point would not be to make me an effective martial artist. I would never be good. The point would be just trying to force new pathways in my brain to slow my mental decline. I'll probably stick to other challenges that are at least a little bit closer to my natural talents. Those challenges still force me to engage myself in an attempt to be coordinated but would be less frustrating to me. I appreciate your idea, but things aren't always clear-cut. You are right that I don't believe in myself. I can still admire the talent of people who can do things that I can't.

Diamond-Grip Aluminum Manriki Gusari MY PICK! You got control. Shorter the chain and the weight can punch your target, or the long chain can throw it, or The long chain throw it, and tuck it in for a short chain. Have you got KarateMart Hellfire chain like Ghost Rider has? LOL

That chain with the balls on is brilliant. 👍 I have the chain and I have 1” ball bearings. Just need a welder! I would raise eyebrows going to my local garage and asking a favour to weld a ball on each end of the chain!👍

Bro these chain weapons are so awesome only thing is I cannot go to any chain weapon classes or anything is there a way I could learn at home? I mean I learned the nunchaku and Bo staff at home but these chain weapons seem really dangerous IDK what do you think, and how did you learn to use the Scorpion Rope Dart weapon so well?
@Karatemart
@Karatemart 4 ай бұрын
That’s a great question! They are definitely far more complicated than nunchaku or other traditional weapons, so you would want to find an instructor in your area who has experience with weapons like the chain whip and rope dart. Thanks so much for watching!

Really enjoy training/playing with chains and tie down straps as they are alot of fun. I use a strap I've chain braded into a lanyard for my keys, the hook is extremely useful as a germ hook and a grapple hook. I also walk dogs and i love connecting two chain leashes together and using them as a jump rope and a really long whip. As far as effective for defense id definitely choose a dart over a chain for its speed, they both are really good for de-escalation as if if a criminal is looking for someone to mug they will likely skip over the person walking along fidgeting with a chain or rope.
@Karatemart
@Karatemart 6 ай бұрын
That’s very interesting, Andrew! And, I agree that a criminal is more likely to skip over someone holding a chain! Have an awesome week, my friend!

How come when Kyle did these videos, we got to see the weapons up close and he explained them, but now all we see is just a lot of bs jibber jabber?
@Karatemart
@Karatemart 6 ай бұрын
That’s a great question! When I was doing the videos, I spent a lot of extra time creating b-footage that would really show off the weapons. I’m trying to give each host the freedom to do what they want with their own videos. I’ve been busy with some other projects lately, but I’m sure I’ll be doing more videos in the future. I really appreciate all your support! It means a lot to me! ~Kyle
