Scotland to get worst snowfall in UK as Arctic chill brings 570 mile blizzard in wake of Storm Eowyn

Weather maps show a 570-mile stretch of snow is expected in the UK in just one week - with two areas of Scotland set to be hit the worst.
Argyll and Bute and the Highlands are expected to see the heaviest snowfall when the temperatures plummet again next week, and Glasgow will also be affected, after a post-storm soar.

It really was such a nice, bright day today! I'm in Notts. I sat outside on my 45-minute lunch break, enjoying the warmth the sun gave me. I wish more of our winter days were like today. I'm from Washington State, but I have lived her nearly 15 years. In my region of Washington, we usually have 300 days of sunshine annually. It took a while, getting myself acclimatised when I moved over here. It really is such a lovely country though, sans the weather.

Aha, minus 3 eh, I was in Yorkshire a few weeks ago, lots of snow and down to about minus 8, I drive back up to Scotland and it is about 4 or 5 degrees and not one snow flake to be seen. Strange how the English media was not claiming it was colder than in Scotland.... I did see some snow " up North" last week but 2 days later Aviemore was supposed to have had 4 cms , WOW 4 cms but all I saw were green or black hillsides.
