Listen to the words. It's a song about beating the English in a battle 700 years ago or whenever it was. Christ if we had an anthem like that I'd be embarrassed. Haven't they achieved anything else to sing about in all that time? Thinking about it, maybe not.

@@casperwallace9685 I read his message in the family guy steriotyoe British voice, and ended uo feeling sorry for him. Reading it without that I now can see how much if a douche he is. What has England achieved recently apart from creating a fascist regime, fucking the countries they "protect", suppressing voters and conspiring against scotish independence party's. The list could go on.

Beautiful isn’t it. I thought I was 1/4 Scottish 3/4 English. My Dad was adopted, and we all presumed he was English. My Scottish part I knew of came from my mum’s side when her Dad met her Mum up in Scotland during WW2 when he was a Flight sergeant/rear gunner in the Lancaster Bomber, and she was an usherette at a cinema. We bought an Ancestry test and it turned out he’s mostly Scottish and Irish. I’m an Englishman who has always lived in England and been a proud Englishman even though us English are classed as racists by the radical left even though the vast majority of proud English are far from that. I have very close family members that also have genes connected to every continent on earth, minus Antarctica of course, and I hate racism. I lost my job for standing up to a racist. Anyway, I’m 50% Scottish, 25% Irish, and 25% English and Western European. My ancestral roots (Communities on Ancestry) are the Highlands of Scotland, and the Western Islands of Scotland. I even had another ancestral root (community) so that made it two; I’m the only person I know out of about 20 people to have two communities. That other ‘root’ is Northern Ireland and the lowlands of Scotland. I’m not even a quarter English because of the Western European added to that. I’m still a proud Englishman though. I’ve been looking through much of Scottish history and so on, as well as music and I have learnt Scotland have produced some of the best minds this world has ever seen; James Maxwell for instance, one of the greatest Scientists known to man. He’s definitely in the top 5 in my opinion. The industrial revolution and the modern way of life we know today wouldn’t be here if Scotland wasn’t here. At the end of day I may be a proud Englishman, but above that, well above that, is that I’m a human that belongs to the human race. This is a beautiful song!

I was a part of the flag detail for the French flag at Murrayfield with the Air Cadets - there was nothing like being on the pitch for the national anthems and although the French were outnumbered 3:1 in the stadium, I've never heard a national anthem sung so proudly - they were twice as loud as the home crowd and that's saying something.
