Hi Des, thanks. It is a great walk with stunning views. A couple of things to be aware of though. The ground is very boggy on the section between Loch Skeen and the start of the climb up to Loch Craig Head and you have to cross the Tail Burn on the return section. I have marked them on the map in the video intro. Thanks for watching & commenting, it is appreciated. Take Care. Cheers. Eddie.

Ohhh those steps brought back memories of last week but a cracking waterfall mind. The path looked better at Loch Skeen and it looked a real nice place and what a place to stop for coffee. The views back down to the Lock were amazing and well worth the walk further on up. Good to see it kept dry for you and also people free as well, looked like there was nobody about for miles, great day out, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan, it was a cracking day. I think we only saw two people all day, it was really quiet. The path going up past the waterfall was quite steep in places, but not as bad as your adventure last week up to Red Pike! Loch Skeen was really nice and well worth the effort going up to Lochcraig Head to get the views looking down to the Loch. Thanks for watching & commenting Alan, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

Thanks Simon & Elaine. We spent a couple of days walking in the Moffat Hills in Southern Scotland and really enjoyed it. This was a great walk with superb views. Loch Skeen is a beautiful place and it was worth the effort climbing up to Lochcraig Head to get the views looking down to the Loch. We certainly plan to do more walking in the Moffat Hills and further up into Scotland. Thanks again for watching & for the kind comments, it is appreciated. Cheers. Eddie.

@@eddiecaisley5746 there's another walk you would like further towards moffat as well there's a cluster of houses at the bottom of the valley couple miles past grey mare's tail and the path is on the right hand side of the valley a little less know of so paths is a bit faint but well worth a look👍

@@crazymtbrider Hi, we did another walk around that area you have mentioned. It was the Hart Fell Horseshoe. I remember it being really steep at the start of the walk heading up to Hart Fell, we came down the other side of the valley over Saddle Yoke. A great walk which I did film, but I was not happy with the footage. We stayed in Moffatt for a couple of nights. We really enjoyed the area and will definitely go back when all this Covid BS is finished. Cheers. Eddie.

Another super video Eddie with amazing views. The waterfall and loch looked lovely. Who doesn't like the sound of water falls or water lapping into the lake shore? Did your recommended Newlands anti-clockwise round yesterday. Fabulous! Although I found Robinson a little bit tricky near the top. Your video's are very informative. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see what you get up to next. Cheers David

Hi Jason, it is a really good walk. There is a boggy section when you head towards Lochcraig Head from Loch Skeen, but other than that, it is superb. I would say it would take around 6 to 6 and a half hours to do the walk. It takes me longer due to the filming etc. It is a stunning area to walk in and would certainly like to do more walks in that area. Thanks for watching & commenting, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

Great to see you made an incursion across the border! Great walk and video again. Quite similar to the Lake District but different and also different to typical Scottish highland walks. It was still quite high and the waterfall and Loch were stunning. I might have asked you before but are you using a gopro? The quality of your photos and videos is first class. Regards, Ashley

Thanks Ashley, it was a great walk with great weather and superb views. The paths were a bit rough in places ( a bit like your walks in the Mourne Mountains) but we really enjoyed it. We spent two days up there, staying in a B&B. I use a Go Pro Hero 8 for the video and a Nikon DSLR Camera for the photos. Thanks for watching & for the kind comments, it is appreciated. Cheers. @@ashleyjarnold The GoPro Hero 9 has just been released. Not sure what the differences are from the Hero 8. They seem to release a new version each year. Yes, where we were in Scotland was the same distance from where we live as the Lake District, so it is really handy to have that choice of places to go. Cheers. Eddie.
