Do you have the movement rules wrong here (starting about 3:49)? I haven't played the new version, but in the original Scotland Yard, you always had to move from a space matching the color to another space with the matching color. e.g. in order to use a "purple" travel token, you have to be on a "purple" space and move to a "purple" space. My memory of the original also seems to line up with what Rodney says as well.

That’s correct you need to be on a purple place to use a purple token.

Mr Jack in NY but that’s my #2 Game of all Time and even though they feel somewhat similar this is pure hidden movement, where the other has some hidden movement elements but they still feel different enough that if you like these style deduction games there is room for both in your collection (especially since mr Jack is only 2 player)

I just found out that this game exists and came here to hear your thoughts. It sounds great! One question, to counter your point about Moriarty goals being good or bad purely based on card draw, could a house rule be implemented that allows Moriarty to draw 5 keep 3 or something like that? Like the tickets in Ticket to Ride.

Ive been looking at getting a hidden movement game. I just got nuns on the run, looking at pengqueen or terror scape. A bit dissapointed with fury of dracula.

This is definitely way more streamlined than Fury and Nuns on the run but the advanced rules add so much depth without a lot of rules overhead
