I hate to say this, but you guys are all delusional... As an L.A guy, I never wanted the Chargers to move here but I'm afraid they're here to stay... They signed a 20 year lease(with a 20 year extension) to play in the best stadium(SoFi Stadium) in the NFL while paying a $1 a year rent! And not having to invest a nickel of Spanos's own money on construction costs. Where else is he going to get a deal like that? It doesn't matter if Spanos doesn't get any fan support at the Stadium. He's ca$hing in regardless. Don't believe me..? I give you Exhibit A: The NBA Clippers... Ever since the Clippers arrived here, they've had very little fan support yet, Donald Sterling never entertained the idea of ever moving the Clippers to another city. It's all about the bottom line, $$%

The Clippers situation in LA is much different from the Chargers… Donald Sterling benefited from the NFL leaving LA for 20 years which should have never happened (coming from an SD guy) however that helped stabilized LA as a 2 team NBA basketball🏀 town… I don’t believe the Chargers will return too San Diego in the very near future however the NFL will eventually send the Chargers back too San Diego with a new owner… The Chargers time in LA will end once Stan Kroenke is financially comfortable enough paying 💴 the Sofi Stadium debt with just the LA Rams and eventually the UCLA Bruins football games… There is just two much competition in LA from 11 other major sports teams (including USC & UCLA) all in the area with bigger fan bases vying for dollars 💸 the Chargers will be the odd team out and eventually have too go back home… Not everyone makes it in Hollywood🤷🏻

The Chargers leaving San Diego for LA was just ridiculous. At least with the Rams it made sense but nobody in LA was clamoring for the Chargers, they're San Diego's team and Spanos ruined the franchise with that move.

As a Rams fan back to the 1980s, and speaking from the perspective when my beloved Rams were stolen by the city of St. Louis, DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE. I remember talking about if the Rams would come back home in the 1990s. I was told that there was a reason that they left. It didn't matter! I wouldn't give up hope. There were constant rumors of an expansion team for the NFL in LA. It didn't matter! I wouldn't give up hope. There were constant rumors of other NFL teams relocating to LA. It didn't matter! I wouldn't give up hope. Now, speaking as someone here in the LA area, I can tell you that NO ONE really cares about the Chargers. No one really hates them. They are just completely apathetic towards them. All of the die hard Chargers fans want them back in San Diego. Without a doubt the NFL knows that and I'm sure without a doubt they'll approve the relocation of the Chargers back to San Diego. The only reason why the NFL approved the Chargers move to LA was to block the Raiders from moving back to LA because the first time around it was such a 💩 show and gave the NFL such a bad look. THE ONLY THING that you'll need to get the Chargers back to San Diego is for Spanos to be willing to buy the team, and for a San Diego based owner or an owner that has the insight to see that he'll have better potential being the sole team in San Diego rather than playing second fiddle to the Rams in LA. Just be hoping and praying for Spanos to sell the team!

To borrow elsewhere where I posted this, sadly, this didn't just cost San Diego the Chargers, but also Taylor Swift, Beyonce, the College Football National Championship, the Super Bowl, the Holiday Bowl being played in a proper college football stadium, BTS, Blackpink, the World Cup, and an untold number of great entertainment and athletic events. I have hope and faith that San Diego will get another serious shot at an NFL franchise, too. Next time, though, it will be very wise for the virtually the entire community and county, to realize that they need to follow the Houston/Cleveland playbook, not act like they don't need the NFL and that the city will be "relocation-proof" like the teams in San Francisco and Dallas, and be united in building a world class NFL caliber entertainment venue and not kick the can down the road.
