Thank you for posting, very amazing video. We had an oriole nest very low in the middle of a rose bush, looked like a fuzzy sock & kind of long. It was well protected by thick thorny branches. We love watching them at our hummingbird feeders.

Thanks for the great video! Amazing! We've got a pair of Scott's Orioles here that come in the spring and stay to nest during the season, but have never had the pleasure of seeing the nest or the new baby birds. I must say it's great to watch them at the hummingbird feeder and their song is such a pleasure to listen to!

Where did you get the ornament? I want to get one. Maybe the orioles will build a nest in mine too.
@robertecarpenter2 жыл бұрын
She was a friend, and called me to shoot the video. She never told me where she got the ornament. But I found over 300 listed on Amazon searching there for "Hanging Wind Ornaments"

It looks like there are two nests, one on either side ... ?
@robertecarpenter5 жыл бұрын
There were indeed two nests. She laid eggs in each nest, the egg in one nest was never cared for and did not hatch.

Robert, you are right. I wish I could have been there more. Alas, a full time J-O-B ... a full time family, and heavy responsibilities in Church music team and teaching leaves very little time for these fun things. Many days it is after dark before I get home so I can not do videos on those days. Most of these were shot on week-end days. I was especially sorry to miss their fledging ceremonies.
