I have had one from new in 2018, then switched a few cars, bought another, sold it. Bought a GT3 911.2, bought another as a second car. Was given a G80 for the weekend. Still have the M4. Just such a great all round car and at todays prices... unbeatable if you keep them looking OEM.

@@WallsOfAbaddon Good question! The M1 and M2 buttons are very customizable which is great! It is a pretty dramatic change when the throttle response is changed to Sport Plus. I have the M Performance Exhaust and that really comes to life. The adjustable suspension and steering response is a great feature. I rarely turn off the “nanny” features like DSC Dynamic Stability Control since the car can get pretty squirrelly. Great and very fun car.

@@WallsOfAbaddon oh great! You’ll love it! The DCT is a wonderful transmission. Very versatile and fun to play with the variable shift speed. There are some good KZbin videos about the DCT. Very simple once you get used to it. The main difference is there is no torque converter so you have to push the accelerator to move from a stopped position (unlike a gentle coast when you take your foot off the brake in an automatic transmission car). Enjoy in good health (but be careful and respect the car 😉) Love to hear what you think about the car once you’ve gotten to play with it a bit! 🏁👍

Most of those I've never heard of failing. OTOH charge pipe crack. The charge cooler will leak. Popping off a charge pipe or J pipe isn't uncommon. ABS sensors and the edc accelerometers go occasionally. Aside from the overblown crank hub, none of the common stuff is expensive.

A lot of issues will always come down to poor maintenance, as long as you maintain the car properly and get it done properly, it will last. Good video. Have a 2018 Sakir Orange one myself, and they are fantastically fun. I need help, I purchased a 2019 M4 with front corner damage, had only 18k miles, I fixed the car, replaced transmission cooler, topped transmission with oem fluid (4 its), drove the car and transmission or clutch slips on all even gears. Odd gears drives normal. So then I flushed the transmission and used ista to set adaptation and adaptation unsuccessful, says (values outside tolerance) "refer the clutch according to instructions". Can it be that the clutch wore out on all even gears only? Is there something I may be missing? Any help will do, I live in a 3rd world country and this car is not common here, not many professionals know how to work on these.
