Everyone at Disc N Dat is amazing! The owners and staff are always friendly and happy to answer any and all questions. I walk in there weekly if not multiple times a week and cannot walk out without buying a disc. Dan and the shop have organized local tournaments and leagues for 25+ years. They even support other local leagues to help encourage positive growth of the sport and to expand our disc golf family.

Disc N Dat is my local store and I spend an inordinate amount of time and money there. Excellent shop, excellent, knowledgeable employees who love to help. The place and people are so inviting and are genuinely happy yo help. Dan is a top notch dude and this store is amazing. If you find yourself in Flotown and love disc golf, this is a must visit.

Discovering the World had a retail store in Buena Park, CA in the mid 80's. It was a few miles away from La Mirada DCG. I can remember getting our discs in the mid 80's from there.

See now i didn't buy discs from Dan until he got the van. That's what I remember his van. Especially the Christmas trip in 1992 where took the van and played just about every course from Cincinnati to Clearwater FL because the goal was to play Ken Climo's home course.

Shops need to really cater to hands on disc selling. Let them try a disc out! Help them find a disc that is appropriate for their hand size and strength. For instance a 1.6 cm height flatish disc that ways 156 grams is the putter that fits and feels best in my hand. Sone shops will recommend a 175 gram putter that is 2.0-2.1 cm in height.

Identified Flying Objects (IFO) in Atlanta, GA had frisbees, kites, boomerangs and stuff besides disc golf but they were a great retail shop for discs in the 90s. Anyone know when they started?

@@ScottStokelyDG I don’t know about their origin story but they were the only place I knew of in the Atlanta area (Little 5 Points) with a good selection of new discs at the time. They definitely sold a lot of other novelties there also.

IFO is where my brother and I got our discs in the 1990s. There was no place to buy discs in my town in Alabama.
