Thanks to the 310 comments who entered the giveaway! The winner is: @chibisven Congrats! I'll be doing another one in the video next week, so be sure to tune in. Remember, I'll never ask you for money for these. Ever. Also, many people have pointed out that the XVive is "upside down" because it will be "right side up" when you are looking at it while it's down on your belt. That definitely makes sense! I didn't think of that. Although the way our drummer has it, it's upside down so that's what I assumed. But either way, it's still a great system! Thanks for watching everyone.

Scott! My name is Robby, I'm a product specialist at Xvive! Just wanted to thank you so much for this awesome video! Your content is incredible, and we truly appreciate your showcase of the new PX system. We wanted to share that the layout was intentionally designed with drummers in mind. We aimed for a design where, when a drummer looks down, the channels are laid out clearly and are easily accessible. We believe this enhances usability during performances. We’d love to hear any more thoughts you have! You Rock!
@ScottUhlMusic3 ай бұрын
Thanks Robby! And that does make sense for sure on why it’s “upside down”… I was just assuming it because of how my drummer holds it on his stand. But that definitely makes sense. Thanks for commenting and glad you enjoyed the video! 🤘🤘

One of our band members is an older gentleman in his 70s. I think this would be helpful for him to have the main mix, his guitar, and his vocal as the three inputs to control how much of himself he hears in his in-ears. That way he won't be turning up and be too loud in the mix for everyone else. My spoon is too big.
@ScottUhlMusic3 ай бұрын
Nice! That would work great. Just remember the mic level can’t just be direct from the mic since it will be too quiet. But it will definitely be helpful!

IEM system nowadays are getting smaller but very efficient in separating mixes, unlike 5 years ago drummers had to carry around a mixer to get individual mix. "My spoon is too big" I think I heard that phrase from rejected lol. Love the content, in fact learnt a lot of ways to route our iem in church because of your channel. ❤

Kinda nifty, and combines that new RJ45>XLR snake idea into a headphone amp. I can imagine this being more useful if the drummer isn't the one triggering the tracks in that case of the full band needing the mix. In my projects my drummer's run their own click and our tracks and they only feed the tracks off a DI to our X32 Rack. We send them 1 feed for the mix of everything else so they get all 3 mix options without needing extra splits at the board. This is why I figured its more useful if your tracks are being fed from elsewhere. We are certainly starting to get interesting options more an more these days so there are more scenarios having something simple to address them. Xvive has been pretty active on the "small scale" scene and I look forward to seeing their future product lineup. Cheers!

I believe Xvive labeled stuff upside down on the unit so that if it’s clipped to your belt or a front pants pocket, when you look down to adjust your mix the text is now right side up and easy to read. So a feature and not a mistake. 😁

My Spoon Is Too Big and with my fork and knife we have a perfect trio… the most common size group for our acoustic sets. We rarely have a full drum set, being mostly guitars, vocals, and varies depending on who drops in for a set. Xvive makes great gear and the phantom power device (P1?) is fantastic and worked well for the last 3 years. That think runs on nuclear power and one charge lasts for well over 15 hours, which was not expected. It’s very handy for when we bring an amp without 48v xlrs ins. Thanks for another great video!

Hey Scott. Great video as usual. The only thing I can think of as to why the writing is upside down is that if it was clipped to your belt with the IEM volume control in the up position, you would be able to look down and read what input control is what. Of course that becomes a moot point if the system doesn't ship with a belt clip or something like that.

Scott, another great video. I bought the wireless X5 system based on your videos. It’s great but my spoon is too big. I’m a duo, guitar/singer with a bass player. My board has a BeatBuddy for drums and a vocal harmony pedal (TC Helicon Harmony Singer). Right now I feed it all to a Boss Gigcaster 8 and y-cable the drums and guitar into a mini mixer along with the vocals and bass. This will let my bass player have his own mix and will let me adjust my mix standing at the mic vs leaning down on my pedal board (nobody wants to see you playing with your board on stage). All good even though my spoon is too big. 😂
