New Nissan Z failure is due to the dealership, not the car itself. Dealerships have hiked the price by double to triple the price. No one wants to buy it for the price hike given that you can buy a Mark V Supra for much cheaper. Dealerships are ruining the new car market. It is too bad, but oh well.

Scotty, I’m an old man. Purchased a set of brake drums and shoes for the rear brakes on my 2005 Silverado, and installed them myself. The drums were from Detroitaxle. Took me and three mechanics to diagnose the pulsating that I experienced after installing all of that, to not being the front disc brakes being defective, but the new rear drums being defective! You see, I mistakenly diagnosed the pulsating feel I was getting after replacing the rear brakes to being the front brakes! Never dreamed the new drums were the problem! Of course Detroitaxle didn’t want to warrant the drums because I had them on for forty days before realizing they were defective! Which they only give 30 days for free returns apparently! Oh, they offered after I asked to speak with a supervisor, to allow me a replacement or refund if I would pay $113 to ship the defective ones back….I paid $137 for the set! The ones I bought locally ended up costing me $225 for the pair, but they actually work! Just wanted to ask you if you ever tried Detroitaxle parts and what you thought about them? I know you don’t mind calling it like you see it! Thank you sir! I love watching your videos!

They're not failures but by most accounts, Nissan didn't go anywhere near far enough with the redesign. The 400 would have been a really nice update back in say, 2010. But after 19 years of 350/370Z cars that changed little after all that time, people were expecting a lot more out of the new car. Ditto, the Titan and Frontier pickups. That’s true you don’t want none of these Japanese cars that are owned by kids or young adults they’ll destroy those cars there was this older woman that had a 240sx all original and I asked her multiple times to sell to me but she would always tell me know finally, she gave it to her grandson, and now the car is lowered, has bucket seats in the Pokémon stickers on the window 🤦🏻‍♂️ smh goodbye 240sx I’ll probably see you in the junkyard soon

If you are after performance, you would be out of your mind to buy a new Z. Starting at 40k, they are going against some real heavy hitters at that price range. Hell, you don't even get a limited slip diff for $40k lol. I'm not a brand loyalist, so i would take a Mustang over the new Z any day.

I've got to come to appreciate the capability of these sports cars. Their heritage is in the badging, and performance! Yes its a V6 instead of a inline design engine, but the newer ones are alot more efficient, plus the aftermarket for parts and tuning is extensive. Im not a fan of them, but having owning one now, I really like it! Its fast and small, I cant wait to get back in another mopar doe lol! But for now, me and my 370z are gonna be great buddies! 🤣🤣

I really like the new Z car actually. I understand what you’re saying about the turbos, but you’d be hard-pressed to not find a non GDI, non-turbo car these days. Also, we had a couple of the VQ Nissans in the family and while they’re great motors, they have their own set of issues. I do know a couple of people that have put a decent amount of mileage on the 3 L turbo that is in the new Z. It’s been out on the Infiniti for quite some time. I think the redesign is sharp, it mixes the perfect amount of retro with new, and I’m really excited to drive one. I actually think Nissan is on an upswing. For instance, they finally got rid of the awful CVT in the Pathfinder. While it’s not a pathfinder as we know it, still, it is definitely also an improvement over the last generation. I am rooting for Nissan. I’ve had a lot of them and I’m hoping That they get their groove back. Perhaps with Ghosn having been ghosted, we will see some welcome changes.

Interesting story. Son had a 300zx 2+2 manual first car drove it for 10 years . Went to Nashville auto diesel college back and forth to S.Carolina digital dash . Then moved to Charlotte while in Charlotte he buys a 350z 2003. Drives that all around Charlotte while he works as a diesel mechanic for the bus company parks the 300zx for 3 years. Goes to get a trailer when he's ready to move back to S.C to trailer the 300 home. His 350z goes in limp mode . He puts the 350z on the trailer and drives his 300zx home after sitting 3 years. BTW the 350 had a short in the harness he found a week later. .

The supply of these cars are low just like most other makes and dealers are charging well over mrsp for people to buy one. Then he goes on and run down every other make of cars except for Toyota. He dies not like Dodge, Vollswagen and others and he hates Fiat. I know people who have had extremely good luck with their fiat 500s. People listen to his negativity they stop buy different types of cars from different manufacturers then sooner or later the only car option you can buy is a Toyota or a Honda. I am one person that like options in the car market and those options are going away because people listen to this guy's propaganda!

I don't agree with electric vehicles at all. Not green technology the power comes from coal and natural gas mostly. Batteries don't last and are fire hazards, and what do you do with them when they die. Electric cars for local city drivers ok works, but for semi trucks and long distances, we need to push forward real green technology like hydrogen fuel cell technology, which will be better, and vehicles will last longer. This is real Green technology that won't kill the electric grid.
