The biggest question is if the Hondas on the road can be still more trusted than others, or if that would even make a difference anymore, and if it does, which of the models will not be likely to be in a future recall?
@JoshuaDarius-bm7ncАй бұрын
At least the price on the used market is already much lower than Toyota, and perhaps the more the problems in Hondas are revealed, the more the better simpler Hondas will stand out, for the sake of the industry and the market.

I have a 2019 Odyssey Touring with 57K miles. I do oil/filter change every 6 months or 5000 miles. Currently waiting on part for the fuel pump recall. Only issue was warped front brake rotors at 27K miles.
No problems here I have a civic type R from 2007 with a k20 engine in it, built in England,in a deep voice, "probably one of the best engines in the worrrrrld"

They don’t want the average guy to have a car or own a home. Think this is a coincidence that all the new cars seem to fail after a amount of time ? You get a small apartment and maybe get a bike so you can to to your job 15 minutes away. (15 minute cities….) ?
Yeah, I smell 15 minute city authoritarian rats behind a lot of this. They want everyone else to live in urbanity with government run mass transit, while they think they are so exceptional that they can travel on private jets & live in massive mansions (e.g. Al Gore). Greedy hypocrites, all for me & none for thee…

I decided I wanted to get a used Honda Fit. I did a ton of research and read hundreds of reviews. I determined I needed to get a 2007-2014 with either manual or 5 speed auto. I found a 2008 from a 70 year old original owner woman with 26,970 miles on it. Garage kept, no rust, 5 speed auto. I feel I found a gold mine. I knew, nothing newer than a 2014. But that’s for the Fit.

Got a 2019 Subaru Outback, so far so good. Is Subaru in the same boat as far as declining quality/reliability? When can I expect a "Subaru Is Officially Dead in America" video from Scotty?
@jamesdspaderf2883Ай бұрын
Based on past videos, Scotty hasn't much good to say about Subaru. But that was also when Honda and Toyota were hailed. Hard to know now what car to buy. It's all gone down the toilet.
@dennisconrad6124Ай бұрын
Last spring I was shopping used cars. I just happen to notice there seemed to be a lot of Subaru’s for sale. I remember thinking, that’s not a good sign. But hey, I don’t know. I did notice that though.
@AndrewFaust-y1tАй бұрын
@@jamesdspaderf2883 The only negative things Scotty has said about the Subarus is the older ones because their automatic trannies were not good. Also you want to be leery of old ones because there's a higher risk of the AWD system breaking. But their quality has gone up over the years, especially after their partnership with Toyota. I see a LOT of Subarus on the road, especially the Forester and Outback.
@jamesdspaderf2883Ай бұрын
@@AndrewFaust-y1t thanks for the insight. I probably haven't seen ALL relevant videos (has anyone?), nor would I claim to have 100% accurate recall of it all. But anytime Subaru has come up I did take notice. Precisely because I also see a LOT on the roads here - that doesn't make them good or reliable. Perhaps you can point to videos where Scotty has praised Subaru: there must be some, right?

Bought a 2018 Honda odyssey was going to trade my other 2016 Odyssey for a transit van looking closely at the 2018 Odyssey, everything was cheaply made and always having a recall problem tires were smaller sickness of The Doors quarter panels metal was much thinner. This is what made me really trade in the car when I saw they were using some type of cloth liner for a wheelwell. So I quickly traded this minivan for a Ford van 2021. Best decision I ever made Ford van paid 45,000 now the same van is 73,000
