as someone who's been on the outside of most of society their whole life, i can say with certainty the system has never been on our side. it's always been a government by and for the rich, the privileged, the out of touch with the masses.

You guys need to come to terms that the Constitution is basically only a guide, kinda like the 10 commandments. If it fits the purpose it's okay, and if it doesn't, then one can just ignore it. It's been on full display for the past 20 years. I roll my eyes nowadays every time I hear someone say "he can't do that, it's against the Constitution". The Roberts Court trampled all over the Constitution for the past two decades. No wonder people in power don't take it serious any more. I do what I like, and I like what I do.

I have been saying that this isn’t a democracy and it is and suppose to be a republic and this has been happening for decades. Neither democrat nor republican truly serves the people they serve the CEOs and they serve money

We will have to disagree. The both-siderism has to stop! Dems have been fighting for the people for decades! It saddens me you only see weakness when there are people trying to fight for you. The right has groomed us to be divide us from our communities. They’ve told us if you don’t get everything you want right now, then leadership has utterly failed you. That’s shameful & it’s WRONG. Our job is to stand up and when given a choice, to CHOOSE LESS EVIL (not the perfect…not sit it out bc it’s hard, but to choose ‘less evil’). Over the last 50 yrs, dems have dug us out of the hole that republicans repeatingly put us in. Too many of us are hearing the mis/disinfo on social media or corporate media, getting mad w/o even understanding what the reality is. Soon i will be removing myself from the major social media sites and get back to dealing w/ reality. I hope others follow. Social media is damaging and killing us - don’t believe me, just take a moment & assess your anxiety level. We don’t have to live like this - it’s a choice to do so.

I feel outraged with you in solidarity...✊🏻I witness from UK and feel very upset with the current political direction and how plutocracies erode and replace democracies and social systems... Billionaires should never be allowed to exist. We should all strike and go on the street to demonstrate. I would demonstrate with you in the US. Just like "Great" Britain or the "United Kingdom" is not great or united anymore, America with Trump & Co is anything but great! We all need people power to show those billionaires and narcissistic f...wits our teeth. NOT WITH US and not in our name! ✊🏻✊🏻

You know who puts those puts those people in office is, right? We haven’t convinced people to vote their interests. And it is social media that leaned ppl one way. This has been growing since before you were born. We used to have a few voices in media and now it has splintered into 1000 pieces/voices. It is hard to find a way thru it all & the oligarchs planned it this way. Slow and steady turning up the heat until we don’t know where to turn. We have to find our way back to one voice…it won’t be a perfect voice, but we need to find it & follow it to get out of this mess.

Blatantly unconstitutional. They could at least be consistent and not cherry-pick platforms to scapegoat just because young people like them. I don't use TikTok but it's obviously just scapegoating of the young.
@niradnagrom235613 күн бұрын
We are far too divided because of the divisive tactics of the billionaires you mentioned and one side hates the other with such vehement rage that I think it's impossible at this point to unite. I would like to but I struggle with finding the ways in which we could do so. Showing [them] anything in the way of examples are immediately dismissed as "liberal bs," and more to the point you really can't say anything to them because they've lost the ability to converse in any meaningful way choosing instead to talk over you! No one listens anymore, they just wait to talk! Add their short-term memory deficiency and lack of understanding history and I struggle to explain how there was a vibrant "middle-class" where the American worker didn't really want for anything. They had a 5 day 40 hour work week, disposable income, saved for their kids' educations, took yearly vacations, ate well, and mom got to stay home and raise the kids if she wanted to because one income supported a good "middle-class" lifestyle. America had 50 years of this between the great depression and about what? 1978? Then Reagan, Gingrich, and the young Republicans came along to say we were all supposed to be competing with each other, that "community" wasn't really a thing, and that you should be trying to outdo your neighbor, and the way we were going to accomplish these things was by sending our good paying manufacturing jobs to "third world countries" to bring the costs of our everyday purchases down! And no one said anything about how TF were we supposed to buy anything without an effing job? They said well we're going to reduce the tax burden on high income earners by way of cutting their taxes and eventually that lump sum of money will "trickle-down" to the rest of us! Still no one said shii, even though an 8 year old could see that the math wasn't mathing! When we gave it a try and our national debt blew up, with every Republican president thereafter they said more tax cuts for the wealthy was the answer and still *NO ONE* said shii! Slowly but surely they added boogeymen to our little dilemma to divide us and point fingers at each other as the reason for the mess we were in. They diminished our K-12 educational system too with outdated textbooks and lowering test scores so that we could be pushed through the system with ease barely knowing how to write our names in some cases! They spent billions on propagandists like Rush Limbaugh on the radio in rural areas for 6-8 hours a day and a national "news" network with a pretty red, white, and blue backdrop to supplement their misinformation campaign that has lasted for 48 years now. So yeah, I want to know what do we do too?! We can't revolt! The dumb dumbs believe the misinformation so strongly that if drumpf told them to go out and kill Democrats,they would do it! They've got voting rolls and registrations to give them the names and addresses of every one of them. So yeah how TF do we reach those 'people'?! The *ONLY,* and I truly mean this, only thing I come up with is to destroy Lincoln's legacy and split the country. The progressive states of America and whatever shii-show name they want for theirs! Only then, I mean this too, only then will [they] see the error of their more than 4 decades long voting record! As long as they continue to have someone to blame, we'll never come together! I'd be willing to bet my life with a very dramatic public death like a firing squad, where a bunch of .50 caliber machine guns turn me into minced meat, or the likes of William Wallace's death in "Braveheart" that it wouldn't take a decade before [they] would be begging to put the country back together when they realize how the "blue states" have carried their asses their entire lives and that their political ideology has been a sick, cruel joke!

How to reclaim our democracy? Diversify our media (choose a small platform to support), unplug and connect IRL. Read Robin Wall Kimmerer and start a gift economy in your neighborhood. Caring is a radical act. Start a blog, start a local newspaper, create strong bonds in your local community, lead with love and generosity, and don’t let the bastards grind you down.

Oh please! They are not taking away your right to vote. It's just a stupid internet platform! There is no constitutional right to stupid cat videos and shopping hauls. Just move to another platform. Monetizing these platforms has produced so much dangerous content, i can not deny that.

I definitely don’t like the idea of Elonia or F’erberg buying that platform. There needs to be more competition! However, I also don’t like China spying on us so easily when their own citizens don’t have the same access to that platform as every other country outside of China. I’m sorry the content creators will lose their platform for now, but if Katanji Brown Jackson, Sotomayor and Kagan voted with Thomas and Alito, maybe they see what you’re not allowing yourself to see.

Both parties are for the big corporations. Capitalism and socialism are both big government. Our government does what the big corporations want. Regulations, taxes, permits etc are to help the big corporations and hurt the mom and businesses. We need to go back to a family based economy instead of a corporate based economy. In a free market there are no corporations because the government doesn’t charter corporations in a free market.
@djangofett487913 күн бұрын
both parties are capitalist. if you think the Democratic party is socialist then you have not been paying attention for your entire life. they're both overwhelmingly capitalist parties
