SPOILER! I think.. If you read the recovered materials on the SCP page you will discover that, for example, the owner of the farm on the green test killed his daughter and the d-class in this test killed 2 children as well. It is hinted that the colors and environments in these tests are related to "regrets" or "sins" committed in your life. It's a very well written SCP with a very elaborate story. worth reading.

SCP 1.01M (Class: Safe) “The Intelligent Rubber” Rubber is approximately 4.9 in height, and 1.4 in diameter. The Rubber can answer about 3.9T questions and can research all SCPs , but not 37,423 left questions. The Rubber mostly uses a camera too record the intel and data the Rubber informs. The Rubber can speak english in an American accent and is rather kind. While recording, he animates on a computer, and while done recording and drawing he uploads his video on KZbin. Occasionally, he makes separated parts of videos. The SCP foundation has a liking to Rubber, and Rubber has made friends with Doctor. K, which also makes videos. The foundation says SCP 1.01M is very gentle and safe, and has took him out of containment and now lives in a standard home.

If you read the article, they searched for a solid few minutes to find someone who turned the object purple, then went back through that way. The object is tied to *regrets,* not one's past, and this explanation is honestly seriously lacking. Hopefully the third part will do a better job of explaining what this world actually is, oooor you can go look a TheExploringSeries' video on it, which covers the entire article in detail.

Yeah. The smaller figures don't really seem malevolent, more like a reminder of their past or an omen/warning hovering over the subjects. There would probably have to be more tests to make sure they aren't harmful though. However, the large humanoids are probably a guardian of some sort and are dangerous to people that venture into whatever dimensions the mirror leads to. Maybe the other figures act like watchmen to alert the big ones if someone entered and is looking around?

They are constantly suffering because they cannot die. Now you may ask: But what absorbed the first victim? Well that would be a former human somehow changed/corrupted/etc. by the high-father's tears. The high-father's tears are like the healing blood in bloodborne (best game btw) where the blood was thought to heal/help but turned out to have horrific effects on people and turned them into monsters
