SCP-120 | Teleporting Paddling Pool (SCP Orientation)

SCP Orientation is an archive of files of the SCP Foundation.
Today we will be studying item number SCP-120: Teleporting Paddling Pool, Object class: Safe.
SCP-120 appears to be a small child’s paddling pool. The pool appears to have been fabricated from common Earth plastics but has shown itself to be indestructible by any attempted means. What is contained within the pool seems to be a brightly glowing, coloured, liquid-like substance, which seems to exist only partially in our dimension.
Human beings, when alive and carrying loads (including clothing) under 37.8 kilograms, are observed to fall through the pool, and are deposited at one of 11 destinations.

@@vladtheimpaler9577 in an emergency situation you'll need 11 of them to dial to the safe location, what if they dont have the time or resources to to round them up, in jail situations there usually 2 guards for every prisoner they escort, so what happens if they cant find them, who's going to jump into the abyss so there director or manager can be safe, sacrificing d class for experimentation to learn and explore is one thing using them as cannon fodder is another,

I like how the foundation is "Huh, this incredibly useful SCP seems indestructible. Let throw everything we can think of at it just to see if that is true!" I mean, if one of those tests *didn't* end in failure it would be. "Ah shit, I guess it is not *completely* indestructible. There goes our emergency escape route. :-/ On the plus side, experiment success." I want to see the list of all the safe class SCPs that the foundation broke just to see if they could break them. :-P

This entry is a pretty extreme example of SCP destruction tests. The SCP foundation is not *supposed* to be trying to neutralize non-Keter level SCPs. Still many entries of safe and Euclid level SCPs include destruction tests or implied tests like "SCP-xxxx is immune to damage from all conventional explosives". How do you know that unless you tried to blow it up? SCP foundations seems pretty confident that when they try these destruction tests it won't accidentally work.

At first I was amused at this Stargate knockoff (they even use the phrase "dial"!). But then I realized the method of cycling, and was back to being horrified. :p I imagine the evacuation procedure using this SCP is /very specific/ about who's in what spot (and what they're carrying) in line!

Idk about this SCP. Seems way too impractical to throw that many bodies at. The Foundation doesn't have an endless supply of D-Class and procuring them is already in itself sort of a secrecy risk/administrative effort. Not a fan.
