So ... normally SCP-610 eventually kills it's victims, but now because of the corrupting influence of the sun people who get infected are unable to die, trapped in a permanent state of suffering and robbed of the one cruel mercy the corrupted sun usually offers it's victims (the state of euphoria caused by the transformation). Just when you think this scenario can't get any more grim a terrifying anomaly like 610 comes along to make it all so much worse. Crazy to think there's something out there that both humans and the flesh entities have to fear.

I think it's more due to the fact that SCP-001-A entities (those transformed by the sun) cannot die under most circumstances (nukes being an exception obviously). Because of this they are trapped in eternal suffering once they become infected with 610. Normal humans (like our unfortunate main character here) would still presumably die due to 610 infection (which does in fact save them from the sun I suppose since 610 doesn't seem to melt in the typical fashion). SCP-610 is only a way out for normal humans, but for SCP-001-A it makes an already horrific fate so much worse.

Every single day in that universe is mere seconds away from an SK class and Apollyon class event from happening and can happen whenever it wanted to. SCP-001 WDB is just one of the few Apollyon SCPs, and the only true salvation is either death and decomposition, being killed by another SCP, or joining the more secure SCPs like Infinite Ikea and Unlondon. And in the WDB scenario, freedom is basically a death sentence as you will become part of the Sun's flesh sooner or later.

This horrifies me. Not just the whole thing with the Flesh That Hates corrupting even the Sun's twisted flesh, leaving it in pain previously thought to be impossible; but the fact that we _know_ from other articles that SCP-610 develops underground caverns and similar. It can potentially excavate large portions of land - it might've dug out parts below the site, and supported a portion of itself. Stuck down there? Perhaps, if its entrances were closed by the instability or simply never given time to be dug out. But perhaps instead it would be able to sustain itself down there, far out of the reach of the Sun, torturing the souls it keeps.

I was expecting the town of mutant 610 monsters from the original document to have a battle with the 001 monsters in a battle of hate vs euphoria. I imagined this would be a fight were the 001 monsters try to drag the 610's out of the flesh caves deep under the town, and the 610 monsters trying to drag the 001's into the flesh caves. To see that 610 is a genuine threat to 001 was interesting.

Well this confirms that Yaldabaoth has no involvement with the Broken Day despite it fitting the Entity’s Profile AND that Yaldabaoth is more powerful than the Corrupted Sun otherwise SCP-610’s Anomalous Properties would be nullified on contact, this also all but confirms that SCP-217 (aka The Clockwork Virus) would be unaffected by SCP-001 as well which gives me hope that The Church Of The Broken God is still around and that Mekhane might be able to fix this.

I have a theory that this weaponized strain of scp-610 was made in an attempt to combat the 001-A instances but during testing a large group of the 001-A instances ended up finding the facility and thus lead to the test going horribly wrong and containment being compromised causing both the survivors at the time and the flesh monsters to be infected by the strain turning them into what they are now.

Considering the computer message from the infected doctor telling measures must be taken soon said it was a weaponized strain authorized by the 05 council, that makes sense. And seeing as everything is flesh goop, I can see the logic of pondering if SCP 610 could be somehow used to combat it. A stupid and foolish plan, but a desperate one. Worth remembering also that the When Day Breaks SCP foundation might not be aware of the true nature of SCP 610, and it's connecting to Yaldabaoth.

@@videocrowsnest5251 I have a small list of a few scps that wouldn’t really be effected either. 1.- Scp-015 it’s also a virus and while it’s host would still turn into goo monsters if they hadn’t been fully converted by the clockwork virus the process of infection would still continue. 2.- scp-025 being a spectral entity it’s also unaffected by the day breaks even. 3- the shadow child (I forgot what number) isn’t made of flesh and blood either since it’s a living shadow and thus would be unaffected due to its physical form. 4.- scp-079 While yes it would eventually die when the site its in runs out of power but its kind of obvious why this one wouldn’t be effected. 5.- scp-006 While a micro organism it can just simply adapt to the situation so it’s host wouldn’t be effected and possibly even adapt to infect and control the flesh monsters.

This is incredible I can’t wait to see what happens to the flesh. I was thinking Scp-2264 in WDB and we could see the The Hanged King battle the flesh and the possible future to Alagadda. Other idea was Chaos Insurgency have Scp-2408 and what to use it to become immune to WDB and I was thinking they should be armed with paraweaponry like Scp-030-DE(RTI),Scp-7890(I think the Scp’s mentioned in this article would be good to add if you make this idea)Order MEF-2839(Hunter Industries demonic rifles)because I think they need more powerful weapon in battle and we get to see CI in action using paraweapons. Scp-682 vs Scp-2761. I was think of a fight we’re they fight on even grounds one adapts and the other adapts by eating Scp-2427-3 vs Scp-939. I already know it’s easy to contain Scp-2427-3 by feeding it one goat a day but what if they failed to feed it during a containment breach of Scp-939.

I imagined a use for 610 in the Daybreak scenario. Surviving scientists try to get to SCP-2935 so whatever kills everything there kills everything in this universe. They go on a moonless night, the Flesh is haunting the site. They throw vials containing 610 at the Flesh and a battle breaks out between 610 and 001 entities as the former spreads and the latter tries to split away.

I remember that early on in my reading about When Day Breaks I mistook it and SCP 610 as the same thing, mostly because of the whole flesh melty thing. Kinda confusing. I figured it out soon enough, but they do seem similar.

I loved this. I think at some point you should do a few mini episodes for things like 999, 009, or one of ocean ones like 3000. They don't have to be long just what you think may happen. I would be really curious about 999 he's already sludge does it have no effect and if he becomes flesh does his anonymous effect still happen?

I can't remember if you have done this nor do I remember the number it is but what about the metal people that become metal from being cut with a certain sword. Let alone what happens to the user of the sword, the potential effect it has on the flesh and if the ones being hit by the sword go through the transition or stay apart of the sun's rain. I'd think the experience could vary on the people. One could say it be like finally coming down from a high or it could feel like a nightmare. What about the submarine scp that appears in any amount of water and has water people. Speaking about water people what of the scp town residence that turns into water every year and get replaced with new people? Actually I can see that going as the town people think they're survivors or (if it goes down that route) somehow immune to the sun's effects. The gas mask that seems to transfer you into a different round but actually into some place on earth with illusions of some kind put on the wearer? Oh wait. The mask. What does it do with no one keeping it in check? The reluctant dimension hopper(s) The other old man who wanders in some unknown pattern that eventually leads him to cross paths with human built stuff which has the stuff eventually destroyed. Mr. Lost. The little mr. Series. Oh wow. So many things. What about a reality where the broken facade had taken place for atleast ten years before when day-breaks occurred. What about the two doors that lead to infinite branching versions of choices? The teenage Giea? Can't recall at the moment if that was ever mentioned.

610 can infect SCP-001 instances

As the other comment said, 610 can infect 001 instances. Usually, 610 kills the host before reanimating them but in this case, 001 infected instances can't die. Instead, the infection basically causes them eternal suffering, both physically and mentally because it takes away the state of euphoria caused by the sun. Not only are the 001 instances in great pain from the infection, but their minds have been fully restored so they're now completely aware of their tormented state caused by the sun.

How would beings made of organic metal react to the sun? Would it be affected by it because it's organic, or would it be immune because it's made of metal?
