"why did they just stand there?" To answer, this is an operator team familiar with scps, many of them are what are known as cognito hazards. Cognito hazards are things that are hazardous to the mind of anyone who sees, hears, touches, or senses them in some way or other. The fact that he reacted after seeing it through the camera means that the act of seeing it was hazardous, but the operator team doesn't know what triggered it so getting close to him put them at trumendous risk. That's why none of them helped him initially. The big question to ask is, did he kill himself or was he made to kill himself.

3:14 Oh, boy, this might take a bit of typing. When it comes to the SCP Foundation finding possible candidates for one of their MTFs it depends considering some MTFs aren’t exactly focused on being a militaristic force. Some MTFs are moreover comparable to undercover spies and such, but for the sake of simplicity, we’ll just go over the general recruiting process for the SCP Foundation when they are looking to recruit someone into one of the more military style MTFs. Basically, since they have people everywhere in the world and have the approval of every government, they are allowed to take the best of the best that any country’s military has and attempt to recruit them. The other way is through mercenaries, pretty cut and dry. Other than that, if you are interested in learning more about MTFs, the channel SCP Illustrated has a video that does an excellent job showcasing and explaining the many MTF groups in the SCP universe. Enjoying the video so far as well, looking forward to future reactions.

I said goodbye out loud as each car drove by, and when the last one left, I turned back to the video and pressed play, and the first thing I heard was the last part of the recording saying the single word "goodbye"... Great reaction guys, this was fun to watch. The House: I had to watch this a couple of times to make sense of what was going on. I think those things were cultists that were able to "make the journey" like the man said in the "play me" video. If you recall, there were three people doing a ritual in the video. Two of them managed to become monsters, the third guy was interrupted by the team and killed mid ritual. The Basement: This was the strangest part of the film, and I still have no idea what that one teammate saw, and what was making him choke. I can only assume it was something that was trying to take over his body since he thought the only logical way out was to kill himself. In any other scenario he would of just shot the threat since he can see it in the camera. Outside: The team member that was snatched outside, I honestly have no idea, but my theory is he got snatched by one of the giant tentacles. I think that would explain those giant holes that don't seem to have a bottom. The SCP isn't the camera, or the cultists. The SCP is the thing that has tentacles sticking up out of the ground. So it must be massive.

the time has come! some fun facts about this film. similar to dollhouse, they hired real miliary? swat? i dont exactly remember, but they hired a guy who has experience on the field to help the actors act and move like they know what theyre doing when clearing rooms and such. the cast has some youtubers as well, namely Donut Operator, who is or was (dont remember exactly) a police officer and makes videos breaking down clips involving the police and explaining the correct procedures and such. in the video, u may notice that the operators all have different nationalities. the SCP foundation is not limited to one country, it spans the whole planet. u may also notice that they are wearing casual clothing underneath, such as lumberjack apparel, etc. it is believed that they are undercover agents living a double life in the region, pretending to be just your average joe among the civilians. it would make sense, as the SCP foundation tries their best to not raise suspicion among the populace, and they use memory erasing amnestics on civilians and any1 else who saw what they shouldnt have in order to keep everything quiet

I'd agree with the comments recommending The Volgun's introduction to the SCP universe even for your own interests and not a reaction. He does videos which feel like a meeting with SCP staff and he reads the actual SCP files/scripts in their entirety, sometimes has visuals included. This maybe late but here are explanation of few military term used in this movie. ROE (Rules Of Engagements) - this specifies how units should deal in certain situations. Like when to shoot and what to do. QRF (Quick Reaction Force) - Force that is capable of rapidly responding to situations Outer Cordon - Making sure NOTHING enters inside area Inner Cordon - same as Outer Cordon but in this case NOTHING should exit area ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) - Is typically used in reference to military applications which are used for intelligence gathering. Well by name you should be able to get it. Now about about those codenames they are Foundation's mobile task forces (MTFs) and each has their own specialism. Some specialism in intelligence gathering, some in dealing cognitohazards, some in dimensional battles (not kidding. Foundation not only deals with Earth but also entire Universe and other dimensions and time axises too) and so on. Also reason some wear common clothes are intentional since they are part of MTF that if needs to, can throw arms and armor and blend with crowd fastly.

So you asked what they said in the briefing. What I got is that the commander was sending in the men to hold the area. They had a team outside to make sure it was secure and no outside force could come in. They had some people on the outside to make sure like no local police or media caught wind of it since it was suppose to be top secret. They mentioned QRF which stood for quick reaction force. These are the force usually more armed and fast meant to act as reinforcement for your team. The initial team is a recon or a team to find out what's going on. The qrf could have heavier gear and weapons and could also have expert on what to do. They also if you listen to the radio chatter had the mortar or some sort of heavier rounds. They were trying to clear out the area outside since the outside team was attacked trying to clear but only had chemical since they didn't really know what the enemy was. Now to my thoughts about what was going on. I agree I always thought since the camera was older than say a phone tech that it could see these creatures. I think from the way they talked is that this was a milia like group initially, but then the leader got in touch with the spc somehow maybe through the camera. I think it demanded sacrifices and that why all the people went missing. However, he said in his message he was betrayed and they had someone downstairs locked up that took himself out. I think that one was the leader next in command or friend realizing what is happening try to lock himself out. However, that room that you saw with the symbol downstairs drove him crazy and he took himself out instead of trying to fall to it. I always read it as the leader knew he was being affected and did not want to get taken over that he purposefully put up the missing person flyer and may have intentionally took out other people to get noticed. I think he wanted to get taken out either to get his next purpose or to be avoid be taken. That part I am not quite as sure. Now for the creature itself, it reminds me of chuthulu style. I think those things you saw were the former cultist that got turned but in another realm. I think once that first solider guy caught them on the camera first and he backed away. Its only when they got more men and was looking for it that it attacked the guy with the camera. I have to look again but I pretty sure the one that first got attacked was the one who spotted him first. In some things, these things don't attack you until you spot them and become a threat. Now the second creature you notice did not attack until they put the gas into it that seem to be injuring it. Then it attacked. I not saying these things where not any good, but they did not attack until threatened. Now when they went into the basement, this creature realize these guys are a threat and intentionally opened the door. If you realized this also was the guy with the camera that also got taken out as well. I think the symbol showed him was to much for him and he went insane. I pretty sure the cultist leader, the guy in the basement they found dead already and the solider with the camera saw something they could not see. The last guy when they went out I feel would be the biggest threat since he spotted the creature holding the arms. It does make me wonder if the spc in not actually the creature, but the camera itself. Its an spc that could spot anomalies and could what drive anyone crazy. That would make sense how the cult turned and it was caused the creature to turn on the soliders. If you remember they did not take out people until the threat was spotted. Now it could have been using them as sacrifices or just using them as pawn, that is unknown. The reason thinking chuthulu style is that is all the creatures from its mythos signature. When they are known, the people who know about that gain to much knowledge go insane. I would not be surprised if the whole team was taken out by the creature since they have killed two of its spore, self, or whatever it was. I always wondered if it was always there but not until the camera spotted it, did it become aggressive. Just my two cents on the lore and what I thought of it.

3:10 Ok, here goes. Recce is short for reconnaissance. ROE is rules of engagement. Exfil is exfiltration/exfiltrate, as in leave/extract. RTB is return to base. Cordons are the layers, literally circles, of security you provide around a target area using your manpower. ISR is intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, referring in this case to the drone watching overhead, they are also using it to provide communication relays. QRF is quick reaction force, a tactical concept that refers to a unit that fills the role of being the primary force meant to respond to immediate threats. All those names and numbers are simply unit names using Greek alphabet.

You know, how they will be infiltrating, their mission goals, and backup, how much backup, backup call signs, and the role they play in this mission. Also how and when they'll be exfiltrating said aera. Basically their mission is infiltrate the sight, gather as much information and find and extract target, team 2 is going to take position out side to give cover, and to call for any air strikes or be back up. Team 3 is going to run cover any civilian will be stop be given some BS excuse like "sorry you have to turn back there is a chemical spill" after they gather all the information and locate target, they will all fall back and exfiltrate by Helo (helicopter).

We haven’t really gotten into anime before. This channel we plan to react to some more anime to see which animation style we like and what we’ve been missing out on 🙂
