I theorize that possibly 53's effect isn't making things want to kill her, it's something that causes opposites, example how she's immune to the Sunlight unlike Humans and most entities, how 682 normally wants to kill anything that lives but almost wants to protect her in a way, how the 001 Instances usually try to avoid direct conflict with her as stated when they mercilessly hunt down any living creature It makes the most sense, common Human Nature is to protect something as innocent and vulnerable as a young girl, but due to her effects, most want to violently slaughter her Because, let's be honest, really the most common tests that have been done with her are Humans and 682, have they never thought to test her with 166? Or 049? Perhaps in his eyes thanks to her effects she is immune to the Pestilence he oh so desperately seeks to destroy Or perhaps she is immune to 096's enragement, and keeping 682 in the room to protect her as 682 can win against 096 and even scare him off after a prolonged period of time There are SO many different SCPs that they could've cross tested but they never did, well, I say this opens up new possibilities

@@Cowboy8897, my thoughts exactly, as I mentioned I think 053's main effect is that whatever the nature of something is, it ends up opposite around her, hence the same goes for the 001 Instances and the Sun itself We won't know til somethin official ends up stating as so or we get some mega SCP Game of sorts that takes place after Containment Breach like you play as a Scientist or a Guard of an MTF Member, or just SOME form of Foundation Personnel that ain't a D Class working to restore order after the breach of Site 19 Until then, all we can do is guess I s'pose

There was a theory/author cannon that since 682 is some Scarlet King creation, 053 may also be one of the Scarlet King’s daughters, or has another form of relation to him, so they are nice to each other due to past. I'm amused the escapees from Ikea are still around. Honestly, I'd thought they were just a one off, but I'm glad to have them back! Also, I'm still convinced that 682's behaviour in relation to 053 may just be an adaptation of sorts. I'm not really convinced he likes her, I think he just adapts to her presence. I saw this happen in a novel that I read forever ago, where there was a little girl who had the ability to subconsciously alter the world around her to fit her expectations, so she turned a very large flightless dragon thing into her friend/protector. Makes me wonder if it was the inspiration for the original cross test.

The climax should be 343. Imagine him sitting in his fancy cell that's bigger on the inside, distracted reading a book or something innocuous, when he suddenly feels the death of the gate guardian. He goes to see what's happened and sees the garden blocked off, then notices the state of the rest of the world, snaps his fingers and everything is back to normal and the sun is asleep/dormant once again. He then returns to his cell and resumes reading his book with a small smile on his face and says quietly to himself something about needing to pay more attention to the little things. End Scene.

Verrrry interesting tidbits in there. I know it's just the author's addition to the story and not canon, but an eyebrow was raised when 682 was plotting to kill 053...then kinda let it go as he got close. Obvious inference of her "Anger/killing field" somehow having that effect on him. Was surprised to see that 682 is in fact not totally immune, or able (yet) to adapt to the sun, but was able to still survive through lower level adaptations. Then again, the "Flesh" 682 could be a catestrophic addition to the ooze monster army if it has the old powers too.

This right here was one of the best SCP videos I've ever seen. I loved the way you referenced the original article with the hypothesis that the sunlight would nullify 053's anomalous effects, but instead chose to incorporate those effects into the story. I also love how you made 682 adapt to the sunlight, instead of just making him immortal because "lol indestructible lizard". This was incredibly well thought-out, and I loved the dynamic between Lanie and Lizzie. The artwork was also incredible! Huh. Lots of interesting developments. I quite like 053's character in this, too - how she grew up not entirely hating the Foundation - after all, she's only ever known them, and they seem to treat her well enough, with proper pronouns and the like. Her effect on 682 is interesting - it seems she stops the hatred he has towards her temporarily (and dissolves the flesh.. does her anomaly really just prevent any potential threats from happening and as such kills people because they might end up dangerous?), but it doesn't last. And without his hatred, 682 does legitimately consider her a friend. Also, I see her anomaly was affecting him as he waited outside the door to her room, when he started to think of how she wasn't all that bad.
