Also, the piled up bodies that Herbie saw and the ensnared deer found in the tunnels, could have been provifing sustenance to the infected not in Site B, like the captive humans were inside the church.

I don't think the author for SCP-610 will ever confirm or deny the connection between 610 and Sarkicism. You don't redact the entire climax to your narrative unless you really want to preserve the mystery and maintain the fear of the unknown.

I like to believe the author's original intention of 610 being an anomalous skin disease that is shrouded in mystery. Nothing against having it connect to Sarkicism in some way, it's my favorite Group Of Interest, but it feels better when there's so many unknown variables into what it is and how it was made. Plus, the later makes it feels a lot more like the basic "Sarkics bad, Broken God good" idea a lot of people have on the group, when in reality it was WAY more complicated and misunderstood.

If I had to guess. SCP-610 isn't related to Sarkicism Sarkicism is instead related to SCP-610. Not like in any kind of canon, I mean that the concept of the flesh cult could have very well come from THIS flesh cult regardless of the original author's intentions... beyond obviously wanting to include a shadowy flesh cult in the story. Like you said, it lines up WAY too well to be a coincidence, but a 5 year gap is too much for it to really make sense any other way. I'd say somebody read the full SCP-610 story a few years after it was created and decided "you know what... this gives me a really fun idea I want to write, lets expand on this faction."

One of the authors of the early Sarcic stories even said that the Sarcicists really did not create SCP 610 but really wish they did. My personal headcannon was that SCP 610 is a Deavite bioweapon that predated the Sarcic revolt of Ion.

I choose the canon where Sarkicism and 610 are seperate. For awhile I was tempted to try my hand at writing where either 610 was an attempted weapon against Sarkicism or was even in competition for domination of the world's flesh. Sadly, the loss of my friend who I was gonna write it with put that on hold (more emotionally than anything)- though he and I both procrastinate far too much, so who knows what would have been. lol I'd love to see someone take one of those angles, if someone hasn't already. Loved your independent story about 610 versus 001- Daybreak. I was wanting to see those two go head to head, ever since I saw your Daybreak video. Thank you and Volgun for showing me the magic of SCP!

I love these kinds of SCPs and I loved your take on it in both videos. Though I love the unofficial explanation you made with 049. Not only because he's my favorite SCP but it does make sense. Doc (that's what I like to call him) had most likely had created the 610 spores in trying to find the cure. But before he could properly disguard it (burn it) either someone from the cult, one of the brothers of death, or 035 stole it for their own gain (and to cruely mess with people in 035s case or to frame Doc into being a monster). But most likely Doc forgot about it since it would have been a long time ago at least until the interview when he remembered and was horrified to see how much damage and deaths those tiny spores had caused and felt horrible for creating them in the first place. But feels a sence of responsibility to cure 610 before it could do more harm. I love this channel and you're creativity. Keep it up. 😊❤

Considering the Hooded Figure collapsed into a pile of clothing right as the tower of Flesh appeared in the church, i always figured the Hooded Figure was little more then a Puppet for the Flesh, it's insides are just another flesh pile, but with significantly more control and intelligence. Perhaps controlled directly by the main "hive mind" or source of the flesh is, while the other infected individuals are autonomous and mostly uncontrolled.
