With the carbon rotor I would do the following. 1. 3d print a new hub that it will attach the rotor to a electric motor 2. Mount an esp32 in the hub to control the motor and led lights. 3. Put an led in each vent 4. Run a light show in the rotor and have it spin in my garage as a back drop

Just discovered you guys!! I'm used to watching restorations of this kind of damage, however those restos wouldn't happen without scrappers so keep it up gentlemen!! If you still have the cluster, what would you want for it? want to try and make it hook up so come racing simulators I have. Think it would be pretty cool as a side project :)

I would love the carbon brake rotor to display behind a BBS wheels that I cut the face off. I'm about to have it powder coated and hang in the garage with a custom fabbed mounting bracket and spare wheel hub to hold it all together. As cool as these things are with launch control and overall speed, I've told everyone that braking from high speed with these things is even funner. What an experience!

I laughed at myself. I winced as you took to the rear panel with a grinder knowing full well it's toast but it still caused a "what the". Great stuff guys. @@scraplifegarage yeah, the wastegates get stuck and we have to replace the turbos after not even 3 years and 20k miles… but they get updated turbos then and porsche pays for everything. Btw very nice content guys, i usually have a very short attention span but i watched all your videos from the beginning til the end :D

I’d love the Porsche Crest from the seat. I just bought my first 911 which is a 997.2 and gets delivered in a week. The centre console is in rough shape so I’m going to have it reconditioned. I could use the crest as an insert on the center armrest. Great episode. Is there a follow up episode? Keep the videos coming!!

I bought the two fans set-up called (surge fans) placed on top of the engine ,I installed them in my V70 sleeper Turbo 5 cyl Volvo under two hood louvers ,with a heat gauge and a manual switch ,they're perfect to cool down & ventilate any hot engine bay ,amazing..!!

Rotor use: as a giant bezel for a custom rear driver's side red-LED fog light (euro-style) with curved, laser-etched lettering in the carbon face: "I BRAKE" (on top) "FOR 911'S" (on bottom). BTW, do you also have a Burmese soda can to help mount the leds? Seems the metal is easier to work with....

Well with the impact wrench you can use it to loosen bolts, but you should not use them whilst tightening bolts. For tightening use a torque wrench. Why dont you guys get a workplace manual on this Porsche 911 Turbo S? Its the way to go to get things to where it needs to be. Greetings, Jeff

Every Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition has front and rear headrests embossed with the Porsche crest, it is a common option on all models just for your info. Doesn't make it any less attractive though😍

this makes me remenber when i was maybe 11 years old ,a mustang ended up in a junkyard in the midle of a cereal field near my family home i went there and took a door just to have it in my backyard and show it to everybody it was a door from a convertible mustang from early models but had such a work and with a metalized blue marine paint with the chrome for the upper side of the side window, porshes where i live always there were 2 or 3 from each model a big region having as main source of income agriculture that gives a lot of money to landlords, the lights switch is common to every audi, VW, porshe, SEAT, skoda since the 70´s for the 3 first brands

I have already built a wall clock out of a destroyed Porsche 911 rim that I cut the spokes off of, so I would love a companion rim to make another clock for my office (the other is in my workshop, next to the 918 A-arm I have mounted on the wall). To open this trunk it is possible to put some electricy (12v) by number plate light and then use key(remote) to open this trunk. It works, I had the same issue. Take care !

normally in the old days the owners of junkyards when having two of the same car one destroyd on the front , other on the back they cut them in alf and joined them welding the back to the front of other ,they were kind of funny when just welded up half from one colour other half from another ,then they just smooth the welded parts and painted them of one colour ,with interiors assembled they were sold and back in action
