Problem is there aren't so easy to come by. But I think I finally stocked up on enough to start building a cube out of them to hide in. Will it be able to resist the big red guys? Let's find out!

@@MrLexify if you use something that has max durability as armor (except the mineable rocks) it'll block the hits and not be destroyed saving everything behind it But there is only 4 indestructible objects that are lift friendly one of which is impossible to obtain in standard survival another one is heavily limited another one is almost directly connected to the boss bots (Scrap city) and the last one is only obtainable though death but can't be picked up All the rest of indestructible objects are practically invincible appon placing making them so indestructible that that they can't be picked up put back on a lift or built on

A suggestion to anyone having issues with base lag, make an area where you weld your vehicles that you are not using to the ground/base. That way it should reduce the amount of interaction between parts and give you some frames back.

I had the same problem with the frames dropping bad near my base as a built it up and I ended up finding out the main culprit was the glow worms and as soon as I moved them away from the base again my frames came completely back it seems they take alot of frames, so perhaps move your worm farm further away looks like u built it in a way u could cut it off and transport the whole farm. If you placed the automatic guns on the bottom so they fire when sensors trigger, then you could place a bunch of those refinery collector boxes inside the wall to collect the scrap metal from the bots during the waves, and, if connected to the refiners directly could be used with some crops placed and just left in the farm, so that the base can fight off waves of enemies automatically, but also can collect their dropped scrap metal and refine it into normal metal without any user interaction.

Considering this idea, you could make a small combat vehicle (maybe a walker or tank?) with a deployable extending wall; an opening to let you fire - could be useful in warehouses..or you could make a sensor guided wheeled drone that could drop a key shield like something out of a sci-fi combat game (or just a small forklift style vehicle with a shield you can hide behind during combat)

disassemble the panic box and make it into a panic room in your base so if you get overrun which i hope never happens, you can run and hide in a dedicated panic room and wait out the raid. similarly, make an escape pod with warehouse keys to move away from a raid in emergencies. the pod can include a chest with essentials like milk and spuds

I believe one way for you to reduce lag is to "cut" your base into pieces. If every piece that is separately anchored into the world is smaller, you get less frameloss. Or at least it does that to me. Maybe Separate "garage" pillars for every car? Because those are a large source of lag as well.

Welding the vehicles off the ground when not in use should help the lag. Best thing would probably be to make a garage outside the base's draw distance for them too, that way they're completely taken out of the equation when you return to base. I'm imagining a little golf cart to drive between the base and garage too.

To reduce frame drops at your base, attach all your vehicles to the base. Use a line of cheap blocks from the ground and weld your vehicle to it with the wheels off the ground. All those wheels on the ground are just more collisions that the game has to process. By attaching the cars to the base you eliminate that.

Warehouse keys can be placed 2 spaces apart and still block all melee attacks (against blocks and parts, not the player). Also, welding some of your vehicles to the ground and adding a timer to your glowb feeder would probably help with the lag.

in the game files there are actual voice logs of a maintenance mechanic. These are in the audio banks folder, to acces them you have to extract the bank file. Or you can I think download them. Just something for ScrapMan to think about.

*LAG TIP* weld your mining and logging vehicles to the floor and get back your fps. Release them just to use. You can also disconnect the vehicle platform from the main base, make them two separate buildings. There is a block limit before the engine collapses. You can cover the gap with a pistons and blocks attached to one side.

One of the best places to find farmbots at are the Farmbot Graveyards. They're either a standalone burnt biome, or they're merged with a normal burnt forest. If i counted correctly, there might be 9 in each farmbot graveyard that spawns in you're world. And fun little fact: Everytime you go in a vehicle, any kind of bot will be able to see you through the vehicle's wall. Even if they don't have a visual on you, they somehow know that you're in the vehicle, and just attack depending on what durability the block is.

with the cube you should link a piston to one of the keys that pushs out the key, then use logic to have the piston activate when youtake it off the lift then you get in the toliet and press a switch to retract the piston. no more weak spot

hey @ScrapMan you may be able to have that box on bearings but it starts out as a flat piece with a switch and a toilet on the inside, so there is no need for having a hole or a switch on the outside. And to get you you just flick the switch and it folds up into a full box that is fully closed. to get out then you should be able to flick the switch again to make it go flat to get out. Hope you see this and try the idea!!!

Put a sensor in the box which only activates when you are in the seat. So when you get in, the (2x2 door) will close and when you get out, it will open automatically.

Scrapman put in a piston on the catapults that raises a wall also activated by the sensor so that it ALWAYS flings them back. That way the haybots don't see a wall in front of them so it's like before with the greenies exept it works with haybots too.

If you collect (and can) more key, you might be able to do a mini car with retractable panel and probably a flip mecanisme would be nice... or kind of one of your flying scooter...so... something where you can put down some panel with a switch to the chair and not from outside the box... so no hole.

You should build your small wall for the garden raid area with workshop keys and plant higher tier items so you get a big boss raid and could use the extra workshop keys to make a boss catcher

Put a switch on the inside and hook up a controller to a bearing on a default on 90 degrees. When the switch is on it will close! Just a tip.
