I think it wouldn't be as hard as you think, so long as they went far enough to get a wide view. Getting them to hit on the same grid square? Good luck. but getting them to hit within the same 20 or 30 grids? Sure. maybe build a tower, like Scrap did for his dropping and catching dynamite vid, then record at max possible resolution and framerate, so they can zoom in and slow down as necessary.

@@Nevir202 I think, if they wanted to make it really elaborate, they could make a kind of chute they at least get into that's skis on the side, so they are more or less guided to the same point. Kind of like a Hot Wheel's track has almost no room for movement besides forward and backward. It's just I don't think the game can handle a gigantic 15km long creation (or even allows one to be built) on top of trying to deal with two other things colliding at super sonic speeds. But to get two things to hit in the same spot at the same time every time...yeah, this game has enough RNG that even if you made a system where you had a 15km long track and 2 identical cars that broke away and then started towards each other, one of them would find a way to jank out of the track or break itself apart before collision.

I can't verify, but part of me wants to say there's a chance of their seats going super sonic again before they disintegrated as they were yeeted from the vehicles. Very small chance, but that seems to be a common way people get that achievement in this game. They go to reset or they hit something, the game glitches and then torques their vehicle really hard slamming their seat down and it goes flying off and breaks the sound barrier....So much for a golf cart. I'm not claiming that's also part of the sound, only that there's a small chance it was.

That usually only happens when you go sub sonic but u crash and the seat gets accelerated to mach 1, for the physics, they dont really slow down when they crash, they are already supersonic so I don't think that is something to factor in.

Well, wouldn't the two vehicles rapidly decelerate as the opposing forces resist each other? I guess after that it's possible that one or both seats rapidly accelerated after being thrown from the vehicle. Also, Scrapman's vehicle probably fared better in general because his top speed/acceleration were higher, which is it tended to be less damaged.

Allright, if my theory is right: 1- the super sonic boom happens if they hit a little bit to the sides of each other 2-both Vehicles survive in a perfect head-on collision, but with massive damage. 3-one survives cause the angle of impact, because while scrapman used sideway wedges, Kan used a up-down configuration, maybe, just maybe, thats why scrapman flipped with minimum damage. *But thats just a theory, a game theory ;)*

I would assume that the re-sonic-boom effect on collision is both of your vehicles "stopping" while they crash and then spinning away again at Mach speed, re-breaking the sound barrier! super cool!

1:30 - No, each of the 1500 KPH cars will be stopped by the other, causing an impact to each vehicle similar to the impact of hitting a parked car at 1500 KPH, not 3000 KPH. The Mythbusters did a similar set of experiments back in 2010, first sending a car into a wall at 50 MPH, then sending another car into the wall at 100 MPH, finally, towing 2 cars to crash into one another, head-on, at 50 MPH each.

Hitting a wall with a car does way more damage to the car than hitting another car though because the wall is completely rigid while the front of a car is designed to crunch and absorb some of the impact. You'd need to send a car at another stationary car rather than a wall to truly see if there's a difference. And do it multiple times because there's probably going to be some variation.

A car going into a solid wall or a car going into another car at the same speed with opposite direction is mostly the same, but a few differences. The acceleration/g-forces experienced will be identical. The damage should be similar/identical to crashing into a parked car that is fixed like a solid wall. However there are a few differences. First is that there is twice the energy involved and twice the number of parts that can break off. So we expect twice the amount of debris to be ejected. The same as 2 cars crashing into a wall next to each there. The second is that a head on collision is rarely prefect. If you hit a wall 5 degrees off straight, there will be little difference since there is more wall to the left and right to hit. If the head on cars hit off center or at an angle, there will be more debris ejected as the cars’ remaining momentum’s try to rip them back apart.

154m/(1/60th of a second) = 9120 m/s = 32,832 km/h. The sound barrier in this game is 1234 km/h, so that’s about 26x the speed of sound. Given neither vehicle is over Mach 10, it’s safer to assume the game doesn’t calculate the distance and update the distance tag every frame.

There's a single frame where the game didn't detect the collision yet, so their vehicles are inside one another. After that, there are only 5 frames of collision, which all are just two of the same frame, 3 are the first frame of collision, and the other 2 are the last frames of collision. With the second collision, there's a surprising 18 frames of collision. I'm surprised that the vehicles didn't completely break the second time! The second collision had them face-to-face so they were colliding while they broke

It could be separate evolutionary paths (each player sticks with the same plane they had from the start but changes it each round) so that there's more diversity and like reactionary evolution and stuff Eg if your opponent uses thrust vectoring, next round you could put on an emp instead of an extra smart cannon

dev block idea: anchor blocks (stops all speed and basically stopping the craft completely (only in non pvp servers as duh unfair advantage!)) imagine this: if you go fast enough the game does fake lag and glitches then goes back in time to when sound barriers were first added then to go back to the present you actually have to make another craft that goes as fast as the craft you used to go back in time in the first place 10:59 if you pause it at the right time you can see what happened on the collision (and yes 2nd time i tried too) speed was 1820 if scrapman was wondering how fast they collided

Hey scrapman! When you and Kan did the race in the beginning, you both only called the number and not the mesurements of the max speeds, so i watched both of your videos Kan went 1500, and you went 1700, BUT, you are on MPH while Kan was on KPH, So your vehicle not only has more arcceleration, but an higher topspeed too by a lot!
