Thank you for the prayer. My wife had a stroke in march due to complications from radiation treatment years ago. I am now her 24/7 caregiver and nurse while she recovers and rehabs. So the prayer struck home for me. I pray it brings some comfort to others in life's Struggles. Be well, be safe, and keep on scrappin`

I lease an apartment in Orlando. In the last four years, our rent has gone up $400.00/month. Unfortunately, income has stayed the same. Yes, people do not pay their rent and get evicted. But, good honest people sometimes CAN’T pay their rent and most landlords are not compassionate enough to help them. Mine would not be. I’m with Paul and believe this is a tragedy! Think about the children. Being kind and thoughtful to others is never the wrong thing to do!

Yes heartrending is the traditional idiom. But like with all language, it evolves. Even though I don't agree with it, usage dictates. It's how the language is used. Language doesn't follow rules rules follow language changes

I was installing garage doors in an old building being repurposed for storage units and the owner had rentals and they had boxed up the belongings of a couple who had Ben arrested and jailed for manufacturing meth. I had to move this stuff and it was heartbreaking seeing the toys kid stuff but it was devastating when I found an open box with the picture of one of their fathers or grandfather and his folded flag and medals and the urn of ashes. I had to take the time and set up a memorial place and found some candles and artificial flowers, I said many prayers mostly for them to come to god and take Jesus to be their new drug. Blessings.

We saw the DuPage County Sheriff and his men come to a house, break down the front door, open all the windows and start throwing everything out the widows. House eviction right before the school bus came to drop off ALL the neighborhood children from school for the day. Real nice for the children who use to live in that house. My husband said, " Why didn't the parents go and pick the children up from school so they wouldn't have to see all their toys and clothing strewn all over the front lawn?" So sad to lose a house and be exvicted by the sheriff's department. Very sad.

In my travels doing curbside picking, I have seen many kick outs. Seeing the toys and stuffed animals is what hurts the worst. Adults can cope and knew it was coming; the kids are usually blindsided and will miss their stuff the most. But what is most perplexing is why do people spend their money on junk (as evidenced with everything being thrown away) instead of keeping a roof over their family's head? Housing should be a priority for everyone and not keeping up with the neighbors.
