Sintered Bronze (begin 6:47 ) - found out about this stuff when taking a garage door motor apart and found some nice sleeve bearings of brass I thought. Turned out they were brittle and found out about sintered bronze, sometimes used for heavy load bearings, and mufflers (looks like here). The bearings are porous for oil to flow through. Interesting stuff.

I was wondering about that! I think that’s the same stuff you find on aluminium doors, there’s two collars on the hinge pins.

I love taking engines apart! Get you some snap ring pliers and look up ways to remove different types of snap rings. Keep up the good work brother.

Interesting fact. The handles of screw drivers is made to use box end of wrench to remove stubborn screws.

That is actually a small magnet around that aluminum shroud that is what gives the coil the power to spark the plug.

I like to smash all the aluminum from around it and throw the crank and remnants in the dirty alum pile. Most of that aluminum is actually magnesium. Not that it matters to most yards.

For future reference to take the piston out you need to take the sprocket off on the opposite side to the bit you were bashing at around 11 mins in. Then it should just either slide out or with a bit of persuasion come out

@@thubprint take the sprocket off then then the bit you were hitting should just fall out as that bit you hit holds the piston in place. I've pulled god knows how many apart.
