Hi Tin Man! Long-time subscriber. Love your videos. One question: How did you know that was zinc cast, and not just regular cast aluminium? Keep up the amazing work! x
@TinManScrapper
@TinManScrapper 7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and the sub. Zinc cast looks like a rainbow effect on the inside (like a drop of oil in a puddle). Although I will say if in doubt just put the item in a separate bin and bring in for the scrapyard people to look at and categorize

Do you remove the strings and the plastic before taking it to the scrap yard
@TinManScrapper

No since I get downgraded from #1 anyway because of the thickness or glue etc.

Not complaining but, what happens to the ac in a car when it's crashed? The freon leaks out into the environment. When a window ac unit falls out of the window......it leaks. When the garbage man crushes the fridge out at the curb, yep, leaks out. Not advocating venting into the air, just sayin is all......

I know, kind of weird that we cannot cut the hoses but the garbage man will throw them in the truck.m
