I just noticed that this is Scream 5's version of the "knife through the door" trope found in every Scream movie. Scream 1 had Ghostface aim for Sidney, only to miss and hit the door. Scream 2 and Scream 3 were the same thing Scream 4 was was the same scenario although it was Jenny instead of Sidney. You can even hear a rendition of the song that played in Scream 1 at 1:26.

The way in which the killer uses to kill his victims and the way his speed and escape was more than wonderful, and he was very clever and also frightening .. Not a bad kill I'll say. I'd say it was all about 5 to 10 minutes after his mother was murdered and Ghostface once again had to use fear and surprise as the taser would have stopped him. Hence pressuring Wes meant his immediate reaction would be to keep the knife away from his throat. I think Richie did this as Amber would have struggled to overpower Wes if she tried this.

Ghostface was close while pressuring the knife Wes fought so hard to block but failed. If Wes did try to kick of even knee Ghostface, the movements of the body would alter the struggle and possibly kill him either way. Only a trained person would be able to fend off the knife's direction, but even still the chances of getting cut or stabbed are big.

⁠the knife is clean so it was two killers. Plus the first ghostface struggles to overpower Judy (we see them hit the back of the knife to add extra force just to stab her), meanwhile the second ghostface is able to overpower Wes with relative easy. Plus the different kill styles are evident. I think what happened was Amber killed Judy then stole her bullet proof vest from her car and fled the scene while Richie killed Wes and returned to his hotel. Then the two later reconvened at the hospital to plan their next move.

Absolutely. Judy was the sheriff and an automatic threat to the plan. And Wes was far too savvy. He would have ruined everything. Judy also survived Scream 4 at the last minute, so most of us thought they’d save her death for 6 or 7. Or only ONE of them would die. But Ghostface got us all.
