It's funny how Jay and Silent Bob made a guest appearance in the Saw three movie. but would they survive if Ghost face was after them? now many killers are all because of Ash. when he picked up that Necrocomicon book but here is a question. did the three spirits that gave Freddy Kruger his power come from the book or a dementional world? in the finale movie I know what you did last summer. Benson that killer with a hook becomes this ghostly being. no explanation at all just he is an evil spirit. The Blair Witch offered little explanation to what really happened to the film students. no person knows for sure if Jason Voorhees will return and square off with Freddy again. the true form of Penny Wise or what can appear as him is unknown. Sammora in the last ring movie has taken a living body. she will now kill others without being inside of a video cassette tape. now I'm sure we can all agree that Michale Audrey Myers is dead. so everyone in Haddon Field can relax, teenagers can fuck each other on Halloween night, eggs whipped at houses, trees get toilet paper wrapped, the horror day is safe once more. The Trolls have a way of being almost human perhaps a witch could wipe them out. Phantasm was interesting the tall thin man seems to know the two heroes very well. but no person knows where the Tall man comes from or how to stop him from portal travelling or kill him. more research is needed on horror monsters the history ya know everything. great video gentlemen I look forward toany more.

For the younguns who are confused. Stu had a 90s CRT TV dropped on his head. Those were about the weight of a mini fridge. It was not a modern LCD TV, he would've survived one of today's pansy televisions.

That version of Scream 3 would've been perfect had it been the plan since the first film was made. If they'd made Stu's injuries life-threatening but survivable, and clarified that he was serving a life sentence in jail in Scream 2, it would've perfectly set up Kevin Williamson's idea for Scream 3. I think it would've been better to only have a select few of the characters be part of the cult, so there's some real deaths in there, and maybe have Sidney discover mid-way into the film that the cult exists but she can't figure out who's in it and who isn't. The motive could be that they wanted to prolong the Stab franchise and earn bank off it, and prolonging Sidney's trauma and eventually killing her would do that while marking them as survivors, which would be similar to what Scream 4 is but way more entertaining an idea. Stu's motive for pulling the strings would be... peer pressure, cos he's far too sensitive.

In real life, Stu would have survived the television drop. There's not enough juice in those circuits to actually kill you. The weight might have cracked his skull, but again, survivable.

Scream 3 was alright. I thought it was neat that we learned more about Maureen's past. Sidney starting off in isolation was a logical way to introduce her. Even the characters dying in a specific order was kind of cool. The tone comedic tone felt off though. Jennifer was fun, but she was the star of the show since the movie was more campy. Gale didn't seem right, compared to the first two movies. And, though I didn't mind the reveal and explanation, Roman was a superhuman. Maybe a threat of immediate danger to Dewey or Gale earlier in the story could have helped (not necessarily killing them). Also, a chase scene at Tom's mansion could have been better than the house exploding. That would cut down Roman having the omnipresence to flood the house with explosive gas, time each fax correctly (while assuming someone will use a lighter) and knowing exactly where the survivors would roll down the hill.

I actually love the Scream 3 we got. I think with a brother-sister-twist it's a bit more personal than Stu being behind everything. Having Scream 3 play out on a movie set (partly) is also a better continuation of the process of getting more meta with every movie in my opinion. Even though I love Matthew Lillard I think we got the better version.

The reason the SCREAM franchise is so great is because of how well it creates suspense, mystery and delivers great scares. It redefined the genre in my opinion, and to this day still stands as the greatest horror franchise there’s been.

All I remember from the original screenplay was it was supposed to end after Jill kicks her own ass and Dewey says there’s a survivor? I’m actually in the fan camp of Scream 3. I know it’s bad and the voice is off but for me personally it came out at a perfect time and I literally grew up watching all 3 back to back so it has a special place in my heart. But this other version sounds really interesting. If it was done well I think it could’ve been good. They could still do it for Scream 5 🤷🏽‍♀️ but it seems like they took a little bit of that idea and used it for Scream 4 with the fan club. Either way bring back Mathew Lillard!! He could’ve survived..

The Scream Trilogy should have ended with Cotton Weary actually being the mastermind all along. In the first movie he was in jail and was the one who told Billy about his dad and Sidney's mother ( he was angry at Sidney for getting him arrested). In the second one, he was out of jail thanks to Billy and Stu confessing it was them and used the opportunity to go after Sidney for ruining his life, only to find out that two other people was also after her and played the victim in the end. Then in the 3rd one he decided to end it once and for all, using his friendship with Sidney that formed in Scream 2 to throw her off his trail.

I remember when Scream 3 was coming out in theaters, it was during the period where you had an overabundance of psychological thrillers PLUS huge twist endings. So I always thought when the end of Scream 3 came around and Sidney watches the killer unmask, she'd see herself and find out the whole time she was the one doing the killings. That over the course of the film series she developed a second personality. And any times she was on the phone with the killer it was actually all in her head. I normally do good at nailing the twist endings. This was the one that got away 😒

I feel that the version of scream 3 that we got was appropriate because it was was able to bring at the time the trilogy full circle as far as giving us a reason for Sidney’s mother’s death and how everything began. If we would have got the other version of a cult of teenagers killing ppl then everyone would have died and it would have been unbelievable for Sidney to make it to the end and survive.

This is how I feel Scream 3 should have ended. Roman isn't Ghostface, but John Milton is. The twist is that it's revealed that Neil Prescott isn't Sydney's father but Milton is but because Neil knew what Maureen had been through, he kept it secret and raised Sydney as his own. That way you retcon the ending of Scream 3 and the original Scream's ending isn't jarred.

*On the DVD commentary it was also mentioned that they were only allowed to have Neve Campbell for a certain amount of time as she was also filming Drowning Mona at the time. and that why most of her scenes are without other characters. I think it they had waited until 2001/2002 to make the movie it would have been a lot better. I like Scream 4 over Scream 3 and Kevin was working on Dawsons Creek at the time*

I think the Scream 3 we got was okay, but a wasted opportunity to be great. If they had toned down the goofiness, and made it a bit more serious since we were dealing with the master mind of it all, it would've made it a bit more impactful. Sydney dying in it wouldn't have been a bad idea. When she says "Lose something" and gets shot. Ghostface actually getting away with it wouldn't have been a bad idea either. The hand-holding scene at the end was done beautifully, and should've ended there. To have him rise up for one last psychotic outburst ruined it. Imagine at the revelation of Sydney holding his hand, she decides to help her brother escape. Brother and sister killing duo. Or Sydney actually losing her humanity. This is the 3rd/4th person she has killed. Albeit self-defense. These things would've been more impactful. Just my opinion.

I think they are going to use the original scream 3 script for scream 6 7 or 8 because I have a feeling stu will return for a final act and we will get to see him standing up and walking out the house with gales footage from his party

Like that one guy said...Stu was stabbed, shot and electrocuted. I wouldn’t have liked the storyline of him surviving that. To think of Stu being the BRAINS behind something is laughable.

Exactly, except for Stu being shot. Stu almost got them caught by being too forward with the details of gutting a body. And, he was not emblematic of a leader. Billy was the psychological manipulator and mastermind

I like Scream 3. It ties the whole story up nicely and keeps it true to the back story. I’d of been annoyed if Stu had come back. It’s not believable and surely he’d of been a suspect in Scream 2. The whole franchise is about movies with Cotton Weary desperate to be famous. So scream 3 really played on that and I think it worked. As Did Scream 4. Jill was desperate for revenge due to what her Aunty and cousin had done to her family.

Wild things was released in 1998. Scream 3 was released in 2000. The other films neve was doing at that time were drowning mona, three to tango and panic

Scream 3 was written on the fly. Wes didn’t expect Scream to get so huge and didn’t plan on making more than one Scream film. It was originally supposed to be titled Scary Movie, but one of the crew advised Wes to change the name to Scream. Bottom line if the movie didn’t get so big, then there wouldn’t be such a high demand for more and we would have never gotten the terrible sequels.

now I'll tell you guys how I've got to love horror movies - I mean, you know, in a way, that you started collect them and the usual FANATIC stuff :D Back in the 90's here in my country having HBO was F-in expensive but once in a while they added it to the cable channels for free, for few weeks, so that they advertise themselves a bit. Once when this happened I accidentally saw Scream 1 and immediately fell in love with that movie - or Tatum ? :D - anyway, in this movie in the beginning when Drew says her fav horror is Halloween and that it's a movie about a guy that kills babysitters. So this somehow stuck in my head and I think the same week they played also Halloween H6 however since it's called only Halloween: Curse Of Michael Myers, I had no idea it's the 6th installment. So I watched it too and was like "where the hell are the babysitters?" :D Then I made some checks on it and realized it was part 6 and watched the 1st one immediately after and that's when my obsession with Halloween started and basically the obsession with horror genre in general...but I have to say, at that time I was about the same obsessed with the Scream series and I love them till today, however Halloween has a bit different place in my heart. So I love Scream 3 as it is but I would NEVER refuse to see a different version. As we know nowadays how studios like to mess with movies (looking at you WB for BvS, SS and JL), I would probably always prefer the original vision of creators over the studio adjusted version. I'm sure Wes would've been able to make the "prank" part very well executed. Anyway, thanks for the new info and for the video guys !

I watch Days of Our Lives, soap opera, and multiple characters have "died" only to return time and time again, anyhing is possible! Theres also the "evil twin" or "lookalike" angle they could have done wirh Stu, DAYS has done that too.
