One way to do something different could be to start 7 with a frantic phone all from Martha to Chad saying Ghostface just killed Mindy and urging Chad to get into hiding immediately, so he contacts Sidney for advice (Gale, as a small-time celebrity, might be too hard to get through to). That would be cool and different!

I wouldn’t really equate scream 3 opening to being in public. Sure we got a few shots of Cotton while he got the call from ghostface as he was on the free way, but the killings and majority of the shots were in his own private home.

I've been a Scream fan since seeing the original in the movie theater. No horror movie is perfect especially the amount of movies in this franchise. Ghostface is such a iconic character. I'll watch everyone of them. Plus the fact Kevin Williamson is directing this one. It's gonna be awesome!!

What about other Legacy characters Like Hayden ,Josh,Jasmine they haven’t signed on Yet Since Scream 7 is still keeping the timelines Cannon Glad their not retcon the sequels Wes would be proud of the new generations of this Reboot.

If it’s anything that should’ve been learned from scream 6 , it’s that constantly moving forward is the best thing for the franchise. From the opening , to the setting, to having 3 killers, scream 6 did it right. I really hope 7 isn’t some nostalgia fest constantly trying to give the feeling of the first one. No more Woodsboro, no Stu , just evolution of the franchise.

Mark and Sidney were confirmed to be married in the 2022 film. Mason Gooding’s character is also in this one. I’ve had a lot of comments recently saying that 5 and 6 should get retconned and I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it. As a franchise fan, I found a lot to love about those two entries even though they weren’t perfect. I’m sure I’ll feel the same about 7.
