You should add some red paint around the shadow/side of the Harley-Davidson tank lettering. I think it would make it pop and go a bit further with the "touch of red" theme you've got going on.

HD doesn’t recommend the SE wires on bikes that have the Delphi ignition as they use the spark plugs & wires as sensors to feedback info to ECM. Any change in resistance on wires as in these 10mm SE wires can contribute to ping
@dafigie3 жыл бұрын
Well H-D has these listed as a fitment for my specific model and year. No issues using these for about 2000 miles so far.

I just put a pair on my 2011. Softail taking them right back off. Way less torque. pinging in third fourth fifth and sixth gear.......It's true they don't work well with the delphi efi .... sure look nice😂

@RamdyEvans Interesting. I'm guessing it's on a 96 ci then ? I just purchased a set like these to go on my 2010 softail as well. Maybe I should not install them hey. Thoughts ? Maybe get the regular size (8mm) in red instead ?

I just added Screamin' Eagle plug wires and OEM plugs to my Fat Boy. I like the idea of using the zip tie to support the longer front wire. My front wire stays up because the horn cover won't let it slide down, but I still like the zip tie idea better. Thank you. My original front wire looped thru the shorter one but for some reason I didn't like it that way.

Even though they don't add power, they are a better and stronger spark and the wires do a better job of insulating the wire which leads to a better/stronger spark. Just makes it more efficient.

I totally agree. Overall it makes for a more reliable and robust system.

Was the screaming eagle plugs and wires worth the money? I have a stage 1 Road Glide 2018 and figured just regular HD plugs that came on the bike are okay. Thoughts...
@dafigie3 жыл бұрын
Hey Scotty! Yea I think they are worth it. Not like you will notice any difference in while riding, but I like the idea of having OEM premium parts on my premium motorcycle. And the fat red wires look killer in my opinion.
@AV84USA2 жыл бұрын
Only worth it if you want colored wires and you think it’s worth it. The placebo effect is massive, however, so you may ‘notice’ a bump in horsepower and increases in biker nods. It Definitely will attract the opposite sex (unless she has a brain and finds out how much you paid)

Can i swap just the screaming eagle spark plug wire with the stock spark plug? Or does it work only with the screamin eagle spark plugs?

i have a 2013 street bob i just got privately pretty sure all the oem plugs and wires are in there. bike pops and crackles on decel. spark issue. i had it at dealer for full service but they didnt do anything with plugs

That sounds more like a fuel tuning issue. Does it have non factory intake and or exhaust on it?

@dafigie3 жыл бұрын
@@el-hp1lj Being that you have a full system exhaust and high flow intake, the decel pop is definitely fuel tuning. You could ask your dealer to tune it specifically to remove the decel pop - not sure what that would cost. Or you could buy an FP3 tuner which has built in functionality to deal with that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/apmsgamfqbp3qNU

I've heard the bike idles a little better and starts easier with this upgrade. Is there any truth to that?
@dafigie3 жыл бұрын
That's interesting, I had not noticed any change in idle or starting, but I was not really paying attention to it either. My bike year came with factory installed automatic compression release, so it has always started up really easy for me. Also helps to keep the battery on a tender if it is going more than a few weeks without running.

Not picking on you or your video, but those wires are GARBAGE. Not just my humble opinion, but easily proven with a OHM meter, GARBAGE. I dyno tune and build Dynas for a living, the wires are better than stock, but that's about all, and that's not saying much. Good luck, SARGE.
