The best joke in the movie is even the kids run in the shop and then the lady immediately reacts like she got shot. As if more than one kid in the shop is her weakness 😂

Jim Broadbent’s casting as Frank is quite clever in itself, he was known for playing the bent copper Roy Slater in Only fools and horses, it’s a tip off to there being a darker side to his character

literally yesterday I picked up on a new joke and I've seen the movie about a dozen times; at the church fete Skinner is running Splat The Rat which we hear at the same time Tim Messenger is telling Leslie the value of her land. Very soon after the 'rat' gets splatted

It took me about 15 watches to realise the foreshadowing we get for the police chief being evil. He literally has his black cloak hanging up in his office on full display😂

I love it when Tim Messenger calls angel angle and then later when angel picks up the phone he is so used to people calling him angle he says goes to say angle and then says angel so he says “angl-angel speaking “

I always thought it was ironic and maybe a bit insightful that the old lady would call angel a fascist when she is literally using a gun made by fascists.

This film is stupidly well written. I didn’t get it the first time, but by the second time I noticed so much clever foreshadowing and setup & payoff. I’ll probably notice more things the next time I watch it.

Not necessarily. The distinction between the sister and brother could mean Aunty Jackie isn't related to the brother, only a stepbrother perhaps. Maybe Aunty Jackie's father and his mother married and had the sister.
