I think the recuring symbol os the ring we see represent the symbols/language as well as the other stuff. I think this is all representative of Eternity. Its been mentioned in several ways, now recently at least 3 times forced and on purpose. I think the symbols, or rings, or energy, is a way for Eternity to be communicating or something. We saw in Thor that Eternity never chose to speak or even move, exist. We saw it represented as a whole ora being when star lord saw it through Ego. Kang has seen that it is broken and understands the mechanics of it. The celestials express the immense power it may poses. like, when Kang said Eternity I felt it was forced and not generic of who Majors was playing. Its gonna be bigger for sure later on.

Kang told Janet twice that her daughter would open a portal, and she would be there. I forget the exact words, but it shows how his way of seeing time made him at least aware that those events would occur at some point. He asked her twice what she saw when she touched his mind, which makes me think that he has seen glimpses of what happens, but doesn't know every step of the way, otherwise he would have known her future answer. That makes his frustration with "losing" add up even though he knows he's going to accomplish his ultimate goal in the end, to "win"
@mrdavman13 Жыл бұрын
Kang isn’t looking into the future. He is looking at it all at once. So he probably sees those events always happening. He just doesn’t know the context is all the time. It could be happening a few different ways. But what Janet saw was his memories of what he had already done. He had already erased timelines and universes. But seeing all potential events all at once must make things blurry.

Call me crazy, but I think Ant-Man is one of the most dangerous characters in the MCU. As Giant-Man, he one-punched space whales and stomped Hulk-tier beings like Cull Obsidian into the ground. I heard a rumor Loki would be looking for He Who Remains in Season 2. Although that would be a change from last season. It does seem like the TVA will soon learn "free will" leads to multiversal war. But there must be some better compromise than "only one timeline" (what makes it sacred to he who remains? ravonna?) and "no timelines or else there is war (kang in this movie). Shouldn't there be a variant of Kang (Immortus maybe?) who would monitor several timelines with the TVA but try to keep them from having incursions? (Isn't that also supposed to be what the Sorcerer Supreme's job is? To protect this reality? He should help too.) Then you could have several teams--either Avengers or Fantastic Four or whatever--running at the same time? Parallel realities, no un-supervised cutting across. Not a crazy Council of Kangs like we see in this. More like an Avengers team made of Kangs? (Maybe he needs to be part of a team? Like in Young Avengers? Or experienced family with the Fantastic Four? Something sappy like that?) He Who Remains had the idea of passing the gig on. Couldn't he give it to the Fantastic Four or something? Also, do we know what timeline the Loki show is in now? But they were saying Mobius was in "Deadpool" so is it possible it's in the X-Men timeline now as branched as it is? As odd as it is, I feel like Kang and Loki represent order versus chaos in the universe, and I think these two need to hash it out.

Other things to note: (1) When Kang's faceplate pulls back to reveal his skin, the last part of him to have the blue color fade is his eyes. That, and the subtle finger-waving, indicates that his technological prowess is controlled directly by his mind. (2) When Cassie says "Don't be a dick", she's referring to Wheaton's Law, which honors Wil Wheaton. (3) In one scene, while Kang is viewing the Multiverse, we can see Incursions ON the timeline as small sparks or fireworks.

I don’t know if it just me, but the plot in this movie reminds me of the plot of Tron Legacy. Another version of some character who is in another world of the other and needs an object to conquer that world.

Not sure if there are any Antz (1998) fans in the comments, but the scene with the ant tower and Hope extending her arm to help Scott is VERY reminiscent of a scene from Antz towards the end as the ants try to escape their flooded ant hill. Too appropriate and clever to be just a coincidence. I’m surprised KZbinrs did not make this connection. 👌🏾

*I think the citadel at the end of time is all that is left of the place where the Kangs were meeting after the multiversal war tore it apart. I also think the 3 kangs were the statues in said citadel and the broken statue we saw on the floor was the 4th kang they threw down the outcast conqueror. Who is the very same he who remains after winning, the broken statues visage returned victorious over all the rest. Now eternally watching the perfect sacred timeline pruning any errant branches which lead to challenges to his power. Set on a specific precarious path which stops other Kangs from existing but leaves the universe exactly where it needed to be for the first Kang to be born again if control was ever lost. Like a ball at the top of a hill, easy to hold up but with so much potential to go downward and without the effort will fall down inevitably. Loki and Slyvie were his chance at true freedom, a chance to finally die while maintaining the balance preventing him from returning but with a safety mechanism that if ever things got out of control he would arise again to make sure he, or other beings who would eventually make his same mistake from destroying everything. He was warning them they were playing with fire and now he is suffering the worst penance for a man who wanted to rule everything...Eternal watch of that thing over and over the same boring loop to protect the universe from himself as punishment for his own desire to rule it all. Like red skull set to watch over the very stone he sought damned to never have it. The MCU is so good.

Best theory I could think of that makes Eternals borderline watchable. A variant of Kang created the Celestials of 616 and programmed them to create eternals on different planets, in search of a planet that would produce another Kang variant. If the algorithm determined the planet became powerful and advanced (i.e. heavily populated/super humans and nanotech) and a Kang variant had not been produced, that planet would be pruned, and another Celestial would continue until a Kang was created. If the Eternals wouldn’t have interfered with Earth’s destruction, Kang would not have been created. That’s why Arisham takes the Eternals to some unknown place for judgement. He’s taking them to Kang to dictate whether or not Earth was the intended birthplace of 616 Kang. Pls like this so it doesn’t get buried and Ryan can see it 😭❤️🙏

Always disagree that Scott Lang is not a smart guy (~6:40ish). He is a degreed MIT engineer who could hack a major corporation's internal systems. It is that he consistently is paired against Hank Pym, or Tony Stark, or Bruce Banner when it comes to intellectual dialog.

When Hopes heads back to the quantum realm to get Scott I believe it was a call back to the second movie when she was upset at Scott. In the Second movie she told Scott that if she was would have been fighting with him, he would have never been caught. So by Hope coming back to help Scott solidifies that that with them two together can ether accomplish anything or if not not the end, together get out of a jam.

Nice analysis. Doug should give you a raise. One of the potential details I saw was early on when the family first arrives in the Quantum Realm, there was a skyborne land-mass that looked very much like the mass which holds the Citadel at the End of Time. I am unsure if it is the same, similar, or merely a variant. I am sure there is a cat somewhere that says it is all three.

YYYYOOOOOO after rewatching loki before watching this i think noticed an easter egg from loki that ties to the counsel of kang's, because there is 3 main kangs running the counsel now, i believe there was originally 4, the 4th being the exiled kang, and in the citadel at the end of time there was 4 statues and 1 was broken leaving 3. i believe the councle did that at a point in time after exiling him when they ruled from that citadel, before he who remains weaponized aliath and won the miltiversal war
