"Something you ought to know about Kevin Figee, he does not sit well with failire" OMG that has to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard. He is a shit show with everything he touches. Between him, Iger and Kennedy they have pretty muched ruined the years and years of comic book story lines, as well as the Star Wars universe. The man fails upwards in life, it's good work if you can get it I suppose. Doesn't sit well with failure, god I'm still laughing.

One of my favorite Marvel comic tropes ever is Deadpool trying to explain to Reed Richards that they live in a comic book multiverse that is governed by genre rules, not physics and Reed being completely unable to fathom it. I generally enjoy all variations on the trope, like what happens when Professor X looks into Deadpool's mind, but with Reed there's always this extra edge to it that adds a tragic element to Reed's character that makes him much more interesting.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe was a fun little run. Honestly, what he did to Xavier was utterly horrific. Sure, Charles was basically asking for it when he went into Deadpools mind to find the reason Deadpool was going on this rampage. One of my favourite Deadpool fourth wall breaks includes a fith wall break as well. In a comic where he's teamed up with Bullseye, Bullseye asked off-handedly how long it's been since they last worked together. Deadpool replying with the Comic Title, Issue number and literally producing a copy of said Comic that he hands to Bullseye. Bullseye looks at the comic, back at Deadpool and just drops the comic shaking his head saying something about Wade becoming more insane as time goes on. With Deadpool literally now reading holding Comic they are presently in as Bullseye starts preping for their mission. Another is where he out plays Gwenpoole's attempts to alter reality by becoming the defacto Title character of the comic by simply existing. Gwenpoole was punching above her weight in trying to remain relevant. By trying to force Deadpool to cameo in her Comic, she ended up turning that issue into a Deadpool Comic with her as a Cameo. It doesn't get much worse than having your own comic taken over by another character and you just being a cameo in what was your own comic. She learned a valuble lesson, don't mess with the other more popular Meta Aware characters.

My all-time favorite author was Robert Heinlein. In 1980, he wrote a book called Number of the Beast in which a character invents a time machine that allows travel not only in space and time but also between parallel universes. He installs the device in his son-in-law's flying sports car and he, his daughter, her husband, and his new bride begin traveling and find themselves in L Frank Baum's Land of Oz where Glinda the Good Witch installs 2 magical bathrooms in their car that continue to exist after they leave that universe (and that are bigger on the inside). They found themselves in Oz, even though Oz is fictional in their universe. They theorize that whenever a writer creates a fictional universe by writing a piece of fiction, that universe is created in reality somewhere in the infinite multiverse. Heinlein's characters travel to a few fictional universes before they find themselves meeting fictional characters from other Heinlein novels. He basically used that book to set up his own Heinlein Literary Universe. Granted, DC Comics did that almost 20 years before in 1961's Flash of Two Worlds. But the idea that every fictional universe exists somewhere in the multiverse is slightly different. I am unsure if he was the first to come up with that idea, but Number of the Beast was the first place I encountered it. Of course, while traveling to the Land of Oz would be amazing, there are innumerable truly awful fictional universes that nobody should ever want to visit. I can't imagine anyone who believed that theory might be true would ever write a dystopian novel. How many video game designers should be charged with crimes against humanity? (Or at least crimes against NPCs.)

You have to consider people have been telling mutliversal epics dating even before Greek mythology. People have always used tales of supernatural occurrences and how they tie into one another to make sense of the phenomena around them. The fact that Heaven, Earth and Hell are 3 separate realms that all exist at the same time is probably the most pervasive example of this form of storytelling 😅

I used to have dreams that were like bubbles of alternate reality. I would revisit these realms and they held together in a way that most dreams don't. You know how you can be you but not you in a dream and other people can be them and also not them and then become someone else entirely? Well none of that fluidity happened in my Dream Bubbles as I called them. Everything stayed consistent. Places would be the same, people and creatures would be the same and they would be as real as if I were sat in a restaurant surrounded by diners. It was like my subconscious was travelling the multiverse before the multiverse became a thing. So, I'm really tuned in to multiverse theory and timeline gymastics.

Deadpool's much-needed special ability is that he can communicate across the entire universe to the viewer, and his sense of humor will make him a natural narrator for the entire MCU from here forward. His films being the only ones rated R gives him a special seat for this. I think if Wanda Maximoff is going to be in Deadpool I just thought about something. Kang didn't create the TVA because of the bootstrap paradox because the TVA existed before and after Kang or without he didn't get the TVA manual in the main universe depending on the points of view which is the main universe She-Hulk breaks the 4th wall like Gwenpool utilizing the gutterspace. Gwenpool can hop out of a panel and adjust things to her liking. She even messes with the illustrator in Gwenpool Strikes Back WITH Deadpool. Doom and Loki have also been shown traveling the gutter space. We see Wiccan do something similar when he becomes the Demiurge. He stands above all the panels and can rewrite the comics. that is my top 5 story I can see it were hiding that plan just now.

I think they are not in Age of Ultron but instead in Logan in the snowy forest. If you rewatch Logan again, you'll see that one of the mutant kids topples a truck over X-24. That truck was a six-wheeler, two wheels close to each other in the back, and two wheels separate in the front. The Ultron truck that's topples over isn't like that. This is definitely the Logan timeline.

You're confusing timelines with universes. The initial timeline was taken over by a Kang variant after the multiversal war finished, and whatever variant was in power isolated the main MCU timeline from the rest, including other universes. 616 was the only universe touched by the Loki series. The TVA was created after HWR took power, he needed grunts to do his pruning and keeping other Kang variants from hopping from timeline to timeline and universe to universe to take over.

From everything we know thus far, either HWR made the first TVA, or a version of Kang implanted the seeds to grow the organization in another version of Himself in combination with people like OB, Loki, etc. Thus, its either HWR made the first TVA, and it will always be around to re-taken over; or a Kang variant always indirectly implements the starting measures for its development.

An interesting video would be to go through every loose end throwaway character/plot thread that has not been revisited since the start of Phase 4. I think if Wanda Maximoff is going to be in Deadpool & Wolverine, it's going to be the FOX variant from Days Of Future Past. There's a moment in the third act where Peter is holding a child with scarlet hair, that's presumably Wanda. Since the past section of Days Of Future Past takes place in 1973 and Wolverine says Quicksilver "Would be a young man now" in his description of him to Charles, assuming the recruitment section of this film happens years later that Wanda would at least be a teenager now since she was 17 or 18 in Age Of Ultron.

I think Deadpool has been a genuinely multiversal character since at least the time he killed almost everyone in the Marvel multiverse as a kind of revenge on the writers of his character. He has always joined the multiverse together by his ability to be a part of all of it and self aware of his place in it. There is a character that did this is a similar way in DC. His name was Ambush Bug and he wore an ill-fitting green bug costume, he could teleport, he was very funny and he could break the fourth wall. Ambush Bug actually predates Deadpool by eight years and could be one of those examples where DC and Marvel have created a character inspired by something the other publisher has done. Marvel and DC have a LOT of parallel characters. When I first became aware of Deadpool he instantly reminded me of Ambush Bug and it made me think 'Why has no-one done an Ambush Bug movie?'. In fact, DC could use Ambush Bug to re-write the DC Universe in the same way Deadpool is being used in the MCU. Ambush Bug had a history of annoying Superman. Keith Giffen who created Ambush Bug also created Lobo the super-powered bounty hunter who could punch out Superman. So could Henry Cavill come back and play Supes in a movie where he co-stars with Ambush Bug and Lobo? Never going to happen of course. It might look too much like copycatting if they were to bring out an Ambush Bug movie now. But, I'd love to see it if we're unlikely to get more of Ryan Reynold's take on Deadpool.

Just to clarify, add some background context and be pedantic, the comic boom in the 90s was the direct result of sports cards in the late 80s and early 90s. Football and baseball cards exploded in popularity, with people buying them up in order to speculate/collect. Not long after, people did the same thing with comic books. I was collecting cards back then so I remember it pretty vividly. Strange as it sounds, I don't remember people being super interested in sports cards until Garbage Pail Kids cards came out and those were ridiculously popular.

Yeah agreed Ryan, growing up with anxiety and depression. I also use humour to help me cope with it at times. But unlike you, it's actually helped me. It allows me to take a step back and review my various scenarios from an observer perspective so I can make jokes about it. Still, if therapy works for some people, then by all means you should use it! Every tool you have to help deal with anxiety and depression is like gold, or even better!

Deadpool's much needed special ability is that he can communicate across the entire universe to the viewer, that and his sense of humor will make him a natural narrator for the entire MCU from here forward. His films being the only ones that will be rated R gives him a special seat for this.
