Return of the King is the best final film in a franchise. Peter Jackson's flawless trilogy came to an brilliantly emotional end that didn't leave a dry eye in the theater. It boasts some of the most epic battles ever filmed, it gave every character and storyline perfect closure, and most importantly it gave Tolkien's brilliant source material the respect he deserves. Its such a great ending that it still makes me sad that its finished over a decade later. Truly an ending that is unmatched and satisfying in every way, and is the finale that every other franchise have strived to live up to since.

I like Alicia on this show, I hope Andy will ensure she gets her time to debate in the next fight instead of being blown away by both Roger and Nick. ***** Like someone stated elsewhere before, it's not Marcel/ Star Wars Movie Fights, it's general movie fights. We don't always have MCU/SW news, there are tons of other films to talk about. Having only people from the MCU/SW corner of the film universe represented will make the episodes kind of repetitve and rather niche. So far, Alicia has picked nice choices and makes interesting points to justify them in a respectful way to her other panellists. She doesn't go out and make a shout contest out of it, she is a bit too polite when it comes to awaiting her turn in my opinion, but that also makes me like her more. She really loves film in general and prefers other stuff from the rest of the debaters. That makes for good stuff to talk about, it's up to Andy to moderate the debate and up to the others to attack her arguments with other valid points. I feel she does that among the best of the people on the movie fights. It's in the end all a matter of taste and as a follower of her channel I have found I agree a lot with her about films. So I may like her because she is my voice in the fights, who knows ;).

Rock Steel That would not count as final. Lord of the Rings Return of the King is the trilogy final as book and movie. There are no stories after that. The hobbit or any other movie which would be based on other stories concerning Middle Earth would be a prequel as already mentioned. Take Star Wars for example epsiode VI was still the end of the story even after Episode I-III, because it is where the movies end.

Okay, fair point it is good to have some fresh opinions from week to week. I meant more these *kind* of guests and actual debates. It's great hearing them backing up their choices with rational arguments. Trying to persuade each other (and occasionally being successful) as well as the audience. Having an encyclopaedic knowledge of sci-fi/comic book lore is useless when it's a screaming display of egotism. Don't get me wrong, I genuinely find say Nick Mundy (for example) entertaining, but there have been at least three shows I've turned off when things descended into 'who can shout the loudest' competitions. Got to say the thing I actually admire the most is Andy's judgement of arguments, he just needs a cattle prod to keep some folk in line :)

Miranda Maison Yep. I agree with the rational argument debate. This is needed for MovieFights and I genuinely enjoyed this fight. I was particularly amused by Scott's knowledge of the facts. This was probably the most civilised and coherent Fight to date. Having said that, they missed several opportunities for stronger arguments. In Star Wars vs. Marvel, that was a pretty lame fight where the least worst argument was Alicia's wit fight. Having the Screaming gang it would've probably turned to laughs, so maybe that question should've been saved for another fight. I agree, it's a stupid question which can probably be used with the Screaming gang. In conclusion, I like having these fights, but from time to time the loud matches are also fun to watch

Well you can't include nukes because nukes can't apply in single combat or they'll both die. And mace windu would win even if fury gets Starks armour. All he needs is one tap on the armour using his shatterpoint ability and the armour will fall into pieces. And a simple jango fett decapitation would suffice.

He's a spy with a helicarier and presumably fighter jets, in the movie he was going to use a nuke against the aliens, presumably from a safe drop distance. It's standard tactics and equipment for him. His recon ability/ espionage evasion/ tactical thinking should enable him to force a nuke situation in a way that he wouldn't be in the blast zone. Shatterpoint isn't movie cannon,movie Ironman armour can hang with hulk level threats, I don't know the extent of shatterpoint damage. If we get into esoteric extended universe force feats of course things would get ridiculous, might as well incorporate comic book hax and the avengers as part of Nick's combat power. It's been a long time since I saw the star wars prequels so I don't know what their mobility and durability is actually like, how fast can they move, what sort of damage can they tank? If lava is enough to fuck up Anakin then I'm sure there are MANY ways to kill a Jedi that aren't explored properly due to bad and inconsistent writing of powerlevels in the star wars movie and extended universe.

Abu Lewally Nukes is fair game a tactic used in the movies, avengers/shield is in movie universe but you are right named super powered combatants aren't really "henchmen" so shouldn't really be used in an argument. To be honest I mentioned the stark armor thing as an avenue to make the movie plausible, not as a reason as to why the Nick fury character could actually beat Windu. I'm just saying a movie could be made, especially by a genius like Tarantino . The reason why I felt the force extended universe stuff was unfair because 1) it spits in the face of the movie power levels 2) Mace was already the superpowered beast in the contest he didn't need any more ammunition to make it a fight.

Yoda vs Hulk. Someone has probably already said this, but I don't have time to read every comment. For whatever reason, they are in the same place and time period (maybe something to do with the infinity stones). They could be friends. Yoda is aware of his condition and trains him to have the mental focus of a Jedi to help him stay in control. But, eventually Banner is going to become the Hulk. It would be interesting to see Yoda deal with this out of control beast. His Jedi mind tricks wouldn't be able to calm the Hulk because his rage is too strong, but Yoda could manipulate him to focus his rage on him to avoid harming anyone else. This is also the perfect fighting situation for Yoda. He isn't taking up his lightsaber and stepping into action (as so many people took issue with in the prequels). He has no other option in order to save others from harm. He wont take out his lightsaber because he doesn't want to harm Banner either. I think it would be awesome to see all the different ways Yoda uses the force to try to contain the Hulk (maybe even knock him around a bit). Plus it would just be cool to see the little green guy take on the big green guy.

Tom Leonard kinda both. The first one, is still the best of the movies, until Deathly Hallows part 1, which is as good. The most faithful was the third by the way, which is really good. The worst were 4-6, the least faithful of them all, 4 and 6 were not just unfaithful but also really, really bad. The fifth was ok, but the just didn't include a lot of stuff. Btw, don't get me wrong, I LOVE all of these movies, it's emptional stuff for me, I grew up with the books and the movies, but the movies could have been a lot better, if they followed the books a bit more

As a parent I loved Earth To Echo. I was happy to see everyone argue against Scott's claim that it sucked. Perhaps I should elaborate on that a little more. Han may have been the rogue archetype, but this idea that witty banter makes everything better is just wrong. The only time I can remember him doing witty banter in a fight was with Greedo - and I think the point of that was witty banter during a fight is a really dumb idea! This was further illustrated in Raiders - the guy shows up and does his sword show off (much like what banter is) so Indy shoots him. Simple! Witty banter in a fight breaks the tension and makes it stupid... Just because a character is a smart ass doesn't mean they'll throw one liners out there during a fight, or that every situation is a joke to them!

You just cant get over the idea that Hollywood will desperately try to give us a Black Bond with all the black stereotypes, dropping the last little morsels of the Sean C. heritage, plunging the film into mediocrity. I don't want that. I want Bond to stay true to its roots.

What I really want is a match up vs Darth Maul. He was a memorable character with badass fight scenes, but he was killed far too early with so much untapped potential. I would appreciate him in a fight vs ideally another swords master. My ideal match up would be against someone like Psylocke who has a psychic sword that might be able to stand up against a lightsaber and would hopefully be able to counteract the force somewhat because of her psychic abilities. The other potential Marvel fighter would be Magik because she has a magic sword and other powers that can help level the playing field.

I don't understand Andy's reaction in that round with the Nick Fury/Mace Windu fight. "Its so confusing, its so confusing" Why? Because its the same actor? Pretty sure I've seen dozens of films and TV shows where an actor has fought themselves because there was a clone or an alternate dimension version or time travel or whatever. As long as they look visually different (clothing, hair style, etc) which those two characters do (Nick Fury - black leather, eye patch, goatee, Mace Windu - white cloth, purple lightsaber, clean shaven) its very easy to understand.

Dan Grant Jean Gray vs Palpatine? Yoda vs Professor X. Both have abilities that mimic the force and could cancel out force choking. Where the tough sell would be is hand to hand or weapon combat because Gray and X don't compete like that.
