Kingpin and Kilgrave were great villains, and Punisher had a fairly menacing presence during the first half of Season 2. Madame Gao was also awesome with what limited screentime she had, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in _Iorn Fist_. He does know Jarvis was keeping Ultron out by stopping Ultron and from getting the codes and destroying earth. So they do explain why Ultron could not fully destroy earth, just thank Jarvis Ultron did not cause global destruction. With Ultron's fascination on a biblical scale, he resorted to dropping a city in the same way the dinsaurs went extinct. So instead of using internet to nuke earth or any other means Ultron did try this, he just did it the old fashion way on extinct level of events. The fight with the avengers was not Ultron vs the avengers, it was all about Jarvis vs Ultron. Take away Jarvis/vision, Ultron wins

Only problem I had with Ultron: He shouldn't have been completely wiped out at the end. His story should have been larger scale, but I understand other people make the other movies and wanna do their own thing. But like Ultron was just reduced to a casual mention in Civil War, he really should have been a driving force. He kind of was, because Sokovia was the breaking straw, but still he should've been mentioned more imo.

I might surprise some people, but: Thanos is the worst MCU villain (how he’s portrayed so far) 1 He was more engaging in the underrated Silver Surfer cartoon than on the big screen. 2 Though I was aware of the character when I saw Avengers Assemble; when he was revealed, I saw his chin and thought- oh, it’s the Skrulls. They only used Thanos so DC would look like they were copying if they used Darkseid. 3 His tactics are questionable. His owns the mind stone, gives it to a treacherous Loki in order to obtain the space stone, and assists him with the Chitari- so inept an army that a bomb to their HQ kills their entire army. 4 He then gets the Kree to obtain the power stone to destroy the Nova corp homeworld. Apart from Ronin losing the dance off and the stone, what was his plan if Ronin succeeded- ask for the power stone, pretty please? 5 The CGitis is worse than the worst of Green Lantern. Thanos does not look real. That actor is pretty good- I hope he redeems Thanos in the infinity wars.

Malekith wanted to bring the universe back into one of darkness. That's why he tried to find the Aether, which is the Reality Stone. He wanted to reshape reality into one of darkness. Ronan wanted to destroy Xandar because he didn't believe in the peace treaty & he also lost his father, his grandfather, & several other family members to the Xandarians. He wanted revenge. Ultron's goal was to bring "peace in our time", but he realized that all of humanity was flawed, so he decided to destroy the world so he can rebuild it into a world of peace, & that was what he believed.

I had a revelation the other day that I cannot believe I did not notice sooner. The reason that the MCU's villains aren't all that memorable beyond Loki is that Marvel Studios doesn't have the rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four, and (until recently) Spider-Man! This means that they can't use characters like Magneto, Mystique, Dr. Doom, Galactus, Green Goblin, or Venom! Kudos to Marvel for being able to handle some of the more B rate villains of the comics to the extent that they did.
