I found the best way to watch Sharknado was to FF right over all the talky talk and get right to the attack scenes. Much shorter movie and I lolled out loud laughingly.

The Terry Pratchett line is actually "One in a million, but it just might work." I think it's "Guards, Guards", definately one of the City Watch books. Then there is this discussion according to which chances of one in a million always work, but let's hope its not 1:999,999 or 1:1,000,001 because then they'd be in real trouble.

This pitch meeting is some of your finest work, in an already excellent catalogue. One of the things I loved about this movie was the climactic battle at the end, with the sharks swirling around in the tornado eating people, and then - when the hero kills them with a handgun - falling out of the tornado. As if they had been intentionally flying whilst alive.

I love this one because it's got such a happy ending. The writer with no credibility finally realized his dream of selling a Sharknado script, and the producer with no money finally realized his dream of getting money.

They increasingly lean into the stupidity as they go from sequel to sequel and somehow it ends up very entertaining. Especially how sharknadoes are just a thing that happens regularly after this, with all of humanity kinda just uniting in hatred against the apocalyptic shark menace.

One positive from 2020 is there was a Sharknado marathon on TV so I watched the entire series. May never have even watched the first one otherwise. The over-the-top events in these movies were a great stress-reliever. Would love to see Ryan do pitch meetings for other movies in the franchise when things get really crazy.

@Ridwan Ademola it depends on the question. If someone asked what is the probability that she was in the shark then it is 50/50. She either is or isn't. But when you ask what are the chances of finding the exact same shark that she was swallowed by, then you consider all the other sharks.

Agreed; everything just hits perfectly in this one. 50%, either it was or it wasn’t, “pier-reviewed,” “the blood of a man who living and breathing just moments ago” (paraphrasing), etc…every joke in this one just works flawlessly.

You may consider to do so. If you know it is a trash movie and if the movie itself knows it is a trash movie (which it does), it's gonna be a good trash movie °L° Unless, you don't like trash movies, not even the good ones xD
